Favorite Bluegill Imitator?
I believe whole heartedly that a well placed bait trumps everything. As far as ML swimbaits are concerned, only the fish know what they're thinking before they hit them. They are realistic to the human eye, but as far as the baits acting natural, no one will ever reproduce that. I have a hard gill in either floating or slow sink, I don't remember, and a soft gill. I have fished them unsuccessfully as I have many many other baits. I'm not taking a swipe at ML at all so Matt, please don't take it personal. All I'm saying is that, for me, a bluegill patterned swimjig has out fished other bluegill baits. I'm not on the water throwing baits for exercise, I do it to catch fish. I'm not Fish Chris or WRB targeting trophies every time I fish. I'm sure if that was my intention, I'd need to completely revamp my style. When I am asked the question "What is the best bluegill imitator?" My tiny little brain tells me Northstar bull gill. It's colors resemble that of a bluegill. Throw a paddletail on the back and it resembles one even more. Most importantly, it catches fish. If I can consistently catch bass in the 2lb-4lb range on my home water, then I have succeeded picking the correct bluegill imitator. If I can catch walleye up to 6lbs so far and pike up to 36" on the same bluegill patterned jig, then I have succeeded as well. I'll make a conscious effort to throw the ML baits more next spring and see if my luck will change.

1198Si On Sale @ Academy
There are several online merchants that have been selling them at that price for months. The 1198's have been discontinued and are being replaced with the 1199. The new 500, 600, and 800 series units have already hit the market.

Favorite Bluegill Imitator?
I appreciate the feedback. I have to make the point of what we are fishing for. There are guys here who fish for fun. There are guys here who fish for money. There are guys here who fish for trophies(Yes we all fish for trophies but some target them). We must choose the bait that meets our needs and our waters. A swimjig has made more money for me than any other bait except flipping a mop jig. But that's just me.

The Entire Lunkerville Season 7 Available Now For Free
Saw it today on WFN. What I enjoy most about the show is that you're just a regular guy. You're not ashamed to show the 6" bass that we all catch. Most importantly, you're all about learning from other regular guys and gals. Keep up the good work

Lures.....a New Beginning
My only input is not to limit yourself to BR sponsors. No argument they make quality products. There are a TON of other baits on the market that produce fish as well.

Favorite Bluegill Imitator?
I'm going to go a different direction here. I have both the ML hard and soft gill as well as the Live Target. Have never caught anything on them, so I really don't throw them much. 3/8oz Northstar bull gill swimjig has been a staple for me for 3 or 4 years now and I've been happy using a Cane Thumper for a trailer. They seem to last longer than other paddletails I have tried and they are not crazy expensive like the Keitech. This swimjig/cane thumper is very versatile and I have boated more quality bass, pike, and walleye on this combination than any other bluegill imitation I have tried.

What's Wrong With Nitro?
If you choose to buy from BPS, the best time to buy because of incentives is usually January-March. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

What's Wrong With Nitro?
Almost bought a new 2010 Z9 this spring. It was almost $10k off the 2013 list. I was more turned off by the BPS sales dept. than anything about the Nitro, which is why I opted not to buy.

You're looking at probably around 1500lbs or so. I have a 20ft Lund with a 225 and it's less than 3000lbs empty

Venison Jerky Recipies
I made 3 batches a couple weeks ago. A plain, a black pepper, and the one from above. The one from above was by far the best. I got the other recipes here http://www.free-venison-recipes.com/venison-jerky-recipes.html

Anyone Use Save Phace Mask While Running In The Boat?
I'm in the market to purchase something. I have heard Save Phace masks have a tendency to fog up. Modular motorcycle helmets won't fog up and in some cases are less expensive. Snowmobile goggles with some kind of face covering will work as well.

2014 Sierra V6 Towing
If they offer a towing package I would suggest getting it. Normally consists of a trans cooler, oil cooler, a tow/haul mode which electronicaly changes the shift ratio on the trans, and maybe even a brake upgrade.
