  1. TW Rawks....
  2. After trying most of Seagur's lines, I went back to Yozuri. Make sure you get the hybrid Ultrasoft, and yes it works great on baitcasting reels, as well as spining reels.
  3. LOL, good one..Not a turn left only fan, more into Motorcycle road racing, where you do have to be Athletic..
  4. Wish I could, but I have other plans. Stick a good one out there..
  5. Just to show there are some quality Bass in the paddle boat lake, here's a 7lb'r I got last Tues. 7'6" Shimano MF spinning rod, 8 lb Yozuri ultrasoft in mist green, bait was a 6" flatail hologram shad roboworm. The pic was altered to protect the innocent..
  6. You gotta be kidding..None of mine did..
  7. The braid might be. Most guys I know of usually use 2 to 4lb fluro, or mono on a UL set up, but that's not to say you can't choose something else. IMHO, the braid wouldn't be a benefit, so why bother having to have 2 knots on your line, plus another connection at the lure..? I would be more inclined to spool up with a top notch fluro, like Tatsu, kinda spendy, but great line. Just my 3 cents..
  8. If I had to choose between the Crucial, and Cumara, I'd definitely choose the later. I also like my Dobyns rods, be a tough call for me comparing those 2. I do like Shimano's warranty better though.
  9. I just know he's waiting for it, so here it is...I'll stick with my Samurai braid. At least the fireline pic's will be gone.. Hopefully..
  10. Is the drag tighten down..?
  11. While I like all the ragetail baits, I'll say this, their lizards Rock..
  12. Exactly, let the rod do the work...
  13. Never had a uni yo uni break, but as was said, lots of spit is needed. Also, I do at least 8 loops with the Yozuri, and 6 loops with the braid. I have throw 4oz swimbaits on this and never had a failure. One other note: if the loops look all funky, retie, the loops should look like a nice hangmans knot..
  14. Suspending jerk bait..
  15. These types of idiots are in abundance at city park lakes around here..everyone from kids to older ladies that can see your fishing a spot, and fan casting, yet they will start fishing 5' from you, when there's a 100' of shoreline to fish. And the sad part is, they are catfishing i.e. bait&wait. Being I'm now in my early 60's, I've reached the point where I don't care, and I will say something to the adults, to the kids, I try to inform them that it's Not polite to move in on someones spot.. OTH, I've had the best experiences with tourney fisherperson's..they are usually very polite, and Ask, if they can fish through, as always, we will even move a bit for them, once they are done, most will say thanks, then I wish them good luck.
  16. Cool...I'd pre pay for a t-shirt and visor..
  17. 7lb rainbow trout on 3 lb. trilene xl line..
  18. XL is fairly limp anyways, where the KVD l&l really shines is on Not so limp line..
  19. Which knot..? to tie a leader, a bait, or a hook..? Most of my knots for tying a leader is a uni to uni, although I hear there are better knots, no failures for me yet. Baits, I'll tie a palomar, or a double loop uni. Hooks, a palomar. Make sure you WET all parts of the line when tying knots. I agree, that line on that reel, is on backwards.
  20. I've used both, the ragetail lizzie, hands down has much better action. I also rig mine with a 3/0ewg hook, no trailers needed..
  21. Yup, this new fan dangled look is gonna take some gettin use too..
  22. I bought a pack of them about 6 months ago, have yet to catch a fish on them, I'll keep tryin though.
  23. What a little cutie she is... 8-)
