"U-Turning" Swimbaits
The new Tru-Tungsten Tru Life Swimbait does a 180 degree turn when stopped. It is GORGEOUS!!! There are tough to find right now, but they were selling them at the classic today. It was the first time I had seen one in a retail store.

bass master classic your top 5 to win
You forgot Davy Hite who won it focusing on the herring a couple years ago at Clarks Hill. But Hite was also fishing an entirely different pattern. Hite's bluebacks were spawning on a hump in relatively shallow water. That's why his topwater and swimbait were so succesful. When that bite slowed, he dragged a jig. If the deep blueback bite is on, I believe it will be bluebacks that are out on mainlake points suspended over deep water. This is when Casey Ashley will be at his best IF those bluebacks are deep. I talked with Randall today and he said a friend of his said the pros are finding fish WAY back in shallow water. So my prediction of the deep bite could be absolutely wrong. I think 23lbs has the lead after day 1.

bass master classic your top 5 to win
Casey Ashley Mike McClelland Aaron Martens...because he's my favorite angler. If the fish are really relating to the ditches, McClelland or Martens will win. If the fish are on a deep blue back bite, Ashley will take it.

Need a good jig and trailer
You can't go wrong tossing a Tru-Tungsten Jason Quinn jig or a Gman custom made jig paired with any color Zoom Super Chunk.

sof plastic crawfish
I LOVE to throw plastic craws. I take a Bass Pro Shops Finesse Craw, stick it on a 1/0 gammy e.w.g. with a 1/16oz bullet weight and toss it around in thick cover. My PB came on this setup. She weighed 14.8

Zoom speed worm
I've had alot of success with this bait on a Carolina rig. I've caught a few swimming it, but I haven't ever really spent alot of time doing it. One little trick Randall taught me is if you run out of senkos on a day where the fish are killing them, you can bite off the tail and have some makeshift ones. They have a pretty nice wiggle weightless.

A disgrace to bass fishing.
I love at the end when he's like, "This fish is so big it's resting on the bottom....im taking a rest.....we're both taking a rest" I remember seeing this awhile ago. I think it's hilarious. Thanks for sharing the vid ;D

Bad food combinations that tore you up!!!
Has anyone ever tried Vitamin Water? I dig that stuff, and drink it all the time, but if you drink more than 2 or 3 in a day, your gonna pay big time. Like someone said earlier, Hershey Squirts. I remember one time at my friends house, we watched Grandma's Boy with a bunch of people, and in the movie, they drink Vitamin Water. So we all got a VW crazving and went out to the gas station and stocked up. Within an hour, the entire basement of his house was stunk up. ;D Good times

Stren Series on Lake Seminole
Olebiker, when I heard that the Day 2 leader was winning on Shoal bass it made me laugh. I cannont believe it was won by an angler that didn't catch a single largemouth, and also an angler who caught 1 fish on the final day. I watched the tourny closesly after Day 2. This is a story that I love to hear. Targeting Shoal bass is definately thinking "outside of the box"

New Vibra-Trap by bill lewis
The different body design is new to Bill Lewis Lures and yes, it does closely resemble the Lucky Craft lipless bait, and its purpose is identical to LC's design, to stabalize the bait when it is diving hard on a fast retrieve. The ridges are not like the Red Eye or the Diamond Shad. If you enlarge a picture of the Vibra-Trap, you will see 3 raised ribs on the end of the bait. These ribs will throw off much more vibration that a smooth sided bait. As far as I know, all Jackall baits are a mix of tungsten and steel balls. The Vibra-Trap's ratte system is 100% tungsten. The only thing similar is Yo-Zuri's Hardcore Drum, but that has a tungsten sideplate that the steel balls knock up against. And like you said, they did roll up all these features in to one bait. Now rather than having to buy 3 different baits with only one of the characteristics you like, you now have a bait with ALL the things that will make the perfect lipless crankbait....except for the junky hooks ;D

New Vibra-Trap by bill lewis
Tin, I hate to say it, but I think you have spoken about this bait without any knowledge of it. IMO, they are something special, and they are going to catch people a TON of fish that a normal trap wouldn't. The technology incorporated into the bait is new for Bill Lewis Lures. The first thing new about this bait is the design. The body is designed to dive differently, and it also has ridges to put out more vibrations. Second, you will notice that the bait has a "pot belly" The wide belly had to be specially made to accomodate the new tungsten rattle system. The fact that they use tungsten is one of the reasons why the baits price is higher than the normal Bill Lewis traps. Anyway, when a bait with tungsten rattles is retrieved through the water, it has a different pitch than a normal hardbait. It sends out more of a low "drumming" noise. If your fishing on a lake that gets hit with traps often, the fish can begin to shy away from the high pitched rattling noise. When you come in there with a different sound, those pressured fish bite. Before this bait came out, I used to modify the trap. It's a trick Randall taught me. I would drill a hole in the belly of the bait, dump out the shot, and fill it up with tungsten carbide stroller whell bearings. I would seal it up, and fish it with awesome results. And the last thing about this bait, which is what I like so much about it, is that on the retrieve, if you give it a quick speed burst, the bait will absolutely flip out. It will track straight, then randomly jump hard to the left or right then immediatly continue to track straight again. That jump is going to trigger some big strikes. I have only got to play around with them this winter, but I can't wait to see how they are gonna be in the spring and summer on grass beds. So basically, the Vibra-Trap is just a souped up Rat-L-Trap. As far as the price goes, it may be steep, but it's just like a car. If you want a normal car, you pay normal price. If you want a bunch of ad ons, it's gonna cost you. My only problem with this bait is the fact that there charging $13 and still putting Eagle Claw hooks on them.

Rat-L-Trap Colors
I mainly throw 3 colors. Diamond Shad, Red Chrome, and Chartruese/Black. They all work in dirty water as well as clear. Good luck

I believe Lake Acworth is near where you live. PM Randall, he's a member on this message board. He's been fishing there on the weekends and really been sticking some good fish according to his reports. He guides out there as well. Fishing one day with Randall will teach you a years worth of techniques. His site is fishatl.com

Recommendations for attractant that will lube up a swimbait?
Megastrike. I use this personally, and from what I've heard, pretty much everyone uses it. I believe Megastrike is what Matt from Mattlures suggests.

Tribble Mill Lake Grayson Ga. Need some info please.
My friends dad talked to the DNR about the lake being choked out by weeds. I have been fishing it a few years now, and this summer it had the most grass in it I had ever seen. If you took your boat out of the channel, your prop would foul up with weeds in seconds. DNR said that they are aware of the overgrowth and will be spraying it next year or the year after. As far as the fishing goes, the edges of the chanel will hold fish all year. I like throwing a Bill Lewis Lures Rat-L-Trap right on the edges of the grass. If there down farther, I will take the trap and yo-yo it off the bottom. Also, like Buzzbaitfool12 said, flipping a bait into the mats can produce awesome results. Good luck

Predict Your '08 Hawg (and Beyond)
My whole focus this year is catching a smallie over 5lbs. We don't really have smallmouth fishing in Georgia, so I'm going to have to make a few trips to accomplish that. I would love to beat my pb Largemouth, but the only way I see that happening is if I get to go to Cali for my senior trip.

Anyone else...
Awesome thread Broke. This year my goals are.... 1) More confidence in the drop shot rig 2) Step up my swimbait fishing 3) Catch JUST ONE FISH on a spinnerbait. I absolutely cannot catch anything with these stupid things!! 4) Deep cranking
