  1. Welcome to the forums Hawg!
  2. Hey Jerr, Glad you joined up! This is a great place to talk some fishing!
  3. Cheezy, welcome to the forums! Glad you joined up. This is a great place to frequent!
  4. Yes, after a couple of more fish you will get this hook set thing down. I personally, always go over my right shoulder, but I am right handed. Let your reflexes take over as mentioned above and enjoy. Once you get really good with hook sets, try striking a pose. I'm working on the Heisman Trophy hookset these days, haha! Good luck and post pictures of what you catch.
  5. Welcome to the Forums! Great to have you join up!

Welcome to the forums!! Glad to have you join up.
  7. So, I got the rod today from TW and UPS. Well, it came in a 9' tube, and currently I am rocking a Honda Prelude. In case anyone is wondering 9' tubes and sports cars do not work together. I had to cut the rod from the tube, stick it through the sunroof and do my best "Back to the Future," impression (granted my car is Black instead of silver) home. In case your wondering, I did not hit 88 mph, or use 1.22 Jiggawatts to travel into the future, or maybe I did
  8. Welcome, always good to have another VA join up. I am from Chesterfield! If you fish the river, try Texas beach area with a 4" weightless senko, junebug. For fly-fishing, try BPS Ashland, there is a guy that works there that attends VCU and knows his stuff about the James! Welcome!!!
  9. I got the crankbaits ready to roll! (Anyone shocked, considering my screename? lol!)
  10. Yeah, we (VT) have to play them first game next year. Saban looks like he is building up a dynasty here.
  11. Well, there are not many specialty pizza places down here in Louisiana, but I did like the new Domino's pizzas.
  12. Pee, I have the 723 as well, totally know what you are talking about. Great senko rod!
  13. I have two other Endurance series rods. I like the power setting the hooks with these rods the most. My hook up to land ratio has gone way up since making these my main go to rods, from the Crucials I have.
  14. Yeah, the discount showed up when I put the rod in the cart. So, I called TW up and asked for some help. They issued me a gift card in the refund amount. YEAH, more shopping before Toledo Bend Saturday! Thanks everyone! This is what makes this Bass website the best!!!
  15. I checked the website, and my rod I ordered is still at the regular price, the others seemed to have the lower price this weekend. Oh-well,
  16. Mega, thanks for the tip. I usually use a lot of the DT series, but for my other cranks I will swap them out. I will be putting a 200E5 on it that I had the bearings polished by DVT and the drag upgraded. I am really looking forward to seeing how far I can throw a lure with this setup!!! I am hitting Toledo Bend next Saturday with it! Pee, No dont say that!! I will watch their website and see if I can get some kind of deal out of it, but Ugh!!!
  17. Ugh, and I already bought one rod today! Where's my credit card? Which one is the flipping stick, can anyone let me know? It looks like the 7'-11", but no lure weights on it. Thanks,
  18. Thank you! I placed the order for one today from TW.
  19. Hey everyone, I am considering acquiring a Powell Endurance 755 for cranking duties. I wanted to check and see if anyone has, or used one and can give me an impromptu review. I would also greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance, Wdy
  20. Yeah, I have an American Fender Telecaster. It is a limited edition so, I really dont want to take her out and attract a lot of attention. But, I was going to replace the pick ups with some Lindy Fralin "Blues Special," Telecaster pickups to cure that problem and give it a lot more punch!
  21. I am really thinking about ordering this guitar, but not being able to put it in my hand makes me nervous. I have a read a lot of reviews on it, but I trust a subscriber to the forums over a stranger. If you have the guitar and can message or just post a quick review I would greatly appericate it a lot!!
  22. Yeah, I have had some issues with the line breaking easily. Great concept, just not sure it was perfected.
  23. Hey, I was born in Richmond, but moved away. Always great to see another VA guy join up! Welcome aboard!
