  1. Yeah, I would love to see a 7 or 8 to 1 gear ratio 50.
  2. Ugh, so many great stories behind their names. I seem like an under achiever here. My first name is Woody, and I like fishing crankbaits. I hope I didn't ruin any Final Jeopardy answer with that. Who ever said explaining your screename on Intros has the right idea. Great thread!!!
  3. I tell you, if the winning angler of the Classic wins on a Curado I. Yeah, we might be able to find one come October.
  4. Yes, I am eager to hear/read the review.
  5. 3/4 oz spinnerbait and 10'-12' crankbait and wait for the water to start warming.
  6. I'm from Richmond, lived in Newport News, and now live in Louisiana. (There might be a quiz later.) Trying to get back to VA, and Yes Teal the Traffic in/around the Peninsula does stink!!! Darren, I used to fish Newport News reservoir a lot!! Send me a PM if you want and I'll download what I know. Also, my profile picture came from Prince Lake in Suffolk. ZARA SPOOK!!!
  7. WI, yeah see Bait Monkey trap there. Just use it and see what you think, haha! I found some on the internet as low as $220ish. I got engaged and want to use the refund to payoff her ring. But, she is in Virginia now so...........I guess I dont have to ask. But, yeah if you get one here post a review will you, or at least shoot me a PM about it. Thanks, Wdy
  8. I had a first gen Revo Preimer and hated it. But, I did flip with it some, learning in the backyard, and in hind sight wish I would have kept it because I was able to flip with it so well. But, out on the water in the wind it was Birds nest central for me. Live and learn. Thanks Mike!
  9. So, I am fighting with common sense and my wallet on buying a new Revo Rocket. I'm looking for a review if you have one. I'm down in Louisiana and everyone flips and pitchs down here, except me. Granted, I have a 200E7 with the bearings polished and upgraded drag. Thank you DVT!!! But, the Rocket at 9 to 1, Ugh! Sexy, maybe it is the uniqueness of that high a speed plus 20# of drag........Mmmmm... Any reviews? THanks, Wdy
  10. Welcome to the Forums! I'm interested in the Pflugers as well! But, start doing some poking around on the internet and you can find those reels for cheaper! Pick one that is comfortable to you. Buy it, catch fish, and post pictures!
  11. Are there Tungsten shakey jig heads out there? I am sure there are, but not yet found them.
  12. Gotta go with a Rapala DT-6, Helsinki Shad.
  13. Ugh, (Face Palm!!!) Mike, I love your work you did on my Cuardos, but hopefully Pure Fishing can either discount of make it up to me! I really love this reel! I was thinking about replacing it with the new Lews Gold Spinning one, but I think I just got a dud here. Thanks everyone!
  14. Hey everyone, I have a 9230XT Supreme that I rarely use, but it seems to have a click at the top of the wind. Meaning, when the spool is at its farthest point out. Anyone else had a problem with theirs and this noise, or any ideas what it could be? I baby my reels, this one still looks brand new, oil it twice a year, she stays inside in a closet on the rod with no abuse. Thank you Wdy
  15. Hey everyone, I found some fishing line that I got I really, really like,,,,,,,,,yeah, lets just say a long time ago! Like 8 years, and I love this line. It is Yo-Zuri X-Tex finesse line. Wondering if it is still good, probably not, but just curious. It has been spooled up on the Yo-Zuri spool in the box indoors the whole time. Thanks, Wdy
  16. Check the flea market, I saw there are a couple of Dobyns and Powells in there for sale just now. Not sure what rods they are, but could save you some $$. Wdy
  17. Will do BigSCruz!!
  18. Teal, or anyone here, Have you used their flipping hooks? I ordered a good amount of their craws based off reviews written on TW's website and some of their flipping hooks. They seem like good products. Just waiting to get my hands on them, and more importantly into a swamp donkeys mouth!!!
  19. Good stuff! Had to rip one of them off to post to Facebook!
  20. If you dont mind, I assume a 2/0 hook EWG? Also, on a spinning rod? Thanks
  21. I've got 4 Endurance rods and love them! Dobyns seems to make great rods, I never held one or fished with one. But, one thing I really enjoy about my Endurance is the backbone. When I set a hook on a bass, he's coming in, unless my line pops. Endurance for a $150, is a great deal. Cant go wrong with either. Enjoy the new rod!!
  22. I was going to say, look at a 50e series. Smaller reel should help that balance point issue.
  23. Ok, glad I found this thread, because I was getting ready to be that guy and post first, without searching. But, I have an old never used Shimano 200SF Castic, which seems to be heavy at 8.6oz. or I am thinking about going to a Gen 3 Revo STX with the 8 to 1 and 20# drag. I have never flipped before (just put in a good size order at TW to remedy that). Granted, I am a Curado 200E guy. I have Powell Endurance 775 for flipping. Any quick recommendations? Thanks everyone! Wdy
  24. I like the somewhat curved handle. I think those will look good next to my 200e's
