  3. Very Nice, great catches on your new gear!
  4. yeah, those round Abus are built like tanks. Will last forever.
  5. Nice Sam!, nice.
  6. My name is WdyCrankbait, and I yard fish. Yep, when I am trying to dial in a reel before wasted time on the water.
  7. I need to get your wife in touch with my wife! Great haul, Happy for you!
  8. See, 16lb line buddy! Hahah, yeah, there are some hogs there! talk to Fanatic more (from your Flouro thread), I have fished with him out of his boat there at Toledo Bend, he knows that place very well!! Good luck and Bust 'em up!
  9. Go with Sunline as mentioned above, but if you are going to fish Toledo Bend, go at least 16-17lb.on casting reels. I have fished it before, you never know what you are going to run into there. (I lived in Alexandria, LA for two years.) Post pictures if you pop a big one. As well there is a Thread in the Central Fishing Forum area named "So you want to Learn Toledo Bend," it is a long thread, read the last page or two. A-rigs, cranks, and if you get to flipping sweet beavers are really popular there, and D-bombs. Good luck!! PS, It is Louisiana/Texas go with big baits and watch your depth finder.
  10. yeah, I would look to find a good deal and get two reels instead of just one high end reel. Good luck!
  11. Yeah, to be honest. I have never even caught one fish on them. But, I have not fished with them that long, and I think there were not any fish were I was with my boater.
  12. ^gotcha! Just kidding Sam, that was my fault! Go Cardinals!!!
  13. Thanks everyone, I will go with ya'll's advice and see what I can do.
  14. Hey everyone, I am sure I know the answer to this question, but anyone use Missile Bait's Baby D-bomb for smallies? Also, how effective are they? I am assume they rank somewhere between ridiculous and redonklous! Thanks Wdy
  15. Pfluger Supreme XT 6.2 to 1 gear ratio, lightweight, carbon drag. Tough to beat for $150 Good luck with your search.
  16. <<<< is about to be poorer! Thanks Siebert!
  17. I recommend the Powell Endurance 755, it is a glass-combo type rod. (I dont know the "official name," of what Powell calls it.) But, in the Powell tradition, you feel everything and can make the long casts. TW has reduced their prices on Endurances. Good luck with the new rod and post what you end up choosing! Wdy
  18. yeah, I have been on the back of boats with many friends dipping their soft plastics and suffered from not. But, Rage Bugs are not in stores here in central VA yet, (that I know of) and I thought maybe the "newness," of the Bug by itself would be enough. But, I guess you can never have enough luck on your side right?
  19. Hey everyone, I'm heading out fishing tomorrow with Sam and I picked up some Spike it (only dye I recognized) at my local tackle store. I wanted to ask if anyone has dipped their Rage Bug claws in this or JJ's, and if it made a difference. Thanks everyone, Wdy
  20. Quantum 100 EXO PT the sheer distance I got in casting was ridiculous But, I did pre-order the new Lew's Tournament Lite Speed Spool casting reel. Lew's reputation at 5.8 oz, I have a lot of high hopes for that reel.
  21. Sofia Vergara, and I don't care what lake
  22. Star, I checked the website and it is closed when you get to the Pfluger thread. I have the 9230XT reel. Tackle warehouse.com is now demoing that reel. So, maybe you should try it out for a week before you drop the $$ on it. But, it is an awesome reel, and the drag will lock down. Wdy
  23. Yep, I have a Supreme XT as well, fantastic reel. I did have a problem with it awhile ago, sent it back to Pure Fishing for repair and they sent me a brand new reel. Sorry to hear about your injury, hope you can find a combo that works out for you. Wdy
  24. Quantum 100 EXO PT I have a 50E supertuned with Boca Bearings and the EXO easily casts 20 yards past the 50E. Plus, at 5.9 oz, great deal. If you look on Amazon, you can find them for around $200. Good luck! PS, I'm just getting on the Quantum bandwagon, but if you do get one, make sure it has the ACS III braking system.
  25. Point Break 300 SuperTroopers
