  1. Trust me, FL junk is THICK! I have never heard of line diameter bothering a fish in the sense that they feel it's presence! I have always heard it alters the lures action though. When i am flippin/pitchin i aim at specific(small) targets where i think a fish will be. If they are going to take the lure they are going to take it right away. Without having time to even inspect it IMO. It's just a confidence thing i guess. Besides like i said, i have NEVER had any issues with breaking the line so why change now!
  2. Man, i only take 5 usually! Crankin(BPS) set up, 2 worm rods(St. Croix), topwater rig(Abu Garcia) and my trusty Powell flippin stick.
  3. Dang bro, i almost teared up for a second! I never really had a father myself but i had a dedicated mother(thank god). It has made me a better father though i think! Sorry for your loss but keep your head high because he is watching over you and yours! PEACE!!!!!
  4. I still have one that i use on my jerk bait set up! It is smooth, strong and you can't beat it for the $ IMO!
  5. Either way, it will not happen right away! Mine took a log time to do it. Besides, for $69.00 you just can't beat it man! Just enjoy it! ;D
  6. Wow, this pretty much sums it up for the majority of us! I wish i had the luxury of choosing when i go fishing. Unfortunately, my company does it for me, LOL!
  7. Yeah, and it will also cut through other stuff too, fingers, rod guides etc! I love the sensitivity of fluoro as well. Besides, the water in the vegetation i fish is usually clearer than the rest of the lake so why would i use braid and potentially lower my bite ratio? Like i said, i have NEVER had a break using it so i find 65# braid a little excessive!
  8. $50, I got mine for $39.99! They are not fast at all though. Mine is a 7' M/F and it will almost bend tip to butt!
  9. Some guys think line diameter bothers fish more then line visibility, meaning the thickness of the line bothers them more then being able to see it. 20-25lb fluoro also has a LOT more memory then even 65lb braid, some guys hate dealing with memory. Braid cuts through weeds and other underwater vegetation, fluoro doesn't do this nearly as well. and last but not least, 20-25lb fluoro breaks easier then 65lb braid, some of the stuff I throw my junk in, I wouldn't get back with 20lb fluoro. ....just a few things that came to mind. You obviously have not seen the stuff we throw our "junk" into here in FL, LOL! I have never had a problem with even the 20lb fluoro. Besides, when flippin/pitchin there is not enough line out to even notice the memory! If they can't see fluoro than why would the diameter bother them? Did you mean because it effects the action of the lure?
  10. I had a telescoping Fenwick flippin stick and i learned my lesson. It eventually wore thin where it retracted from so much in and out. It then cracked it wore down so much! I NEVER bought a telescoping rod again!
  11. I guess i will just through these things Sat then! I hope my luck changes from no bites too!
  12. I like a black 4" Brush Hog with blue tail/appendages in dirty water!
  13. LOL, i love it! That's a good idea!
  14. A 6' 6" for flippin and pitchin!?! You might want to look into there 7' 6" Nitro rods instead for those techniques! Atleast for flippin anyways. For pitchin a 6' 6" should do.
  15. Man, i feel a lot better now! My fishing buddy treats his gear like crap and laughs because i clean mine constantly! He does not own any expensive gear though(doesn't believe in it). We are like night and day! It's a shock that we can even stand each other for 10-12 hours in a boat, LOL!
  16. Why not some 20-25lb fluoro? That's what i use for the techniques.
  17. That's one thing i hate about them! They are not available anywhere but BPS(2 hour drive) around my neck a da! Wally sales one kind and one color, SUCKS!!! >
  18. 6" watermelon/red flake dead sticked!
  19. I kinda like fronts now! I pitch/flip t-rigged soft plastics right on top of there nose! Gets em every time, well.........almost!!!
  20. I love Stick Marsh, i wish i lived closer though! Nice fatty!!!
  21. Strictly largemouth, and the occasional mud fish that stops by!!!
  22. I'm with Team9nine on this one guys! Just crank it down and bring em in the boat!! ;D
  23. LOL, that's awesome man! I think you are going to love it once you get the brakes dialed in good! If not, i will buy it off you(at a slightly discounted price of course), LOL! LATERZ
