  1. Man, I wish more people were taught this stuff as children. Soooo many A-holes on and off the water.
  2. Put a 2 1/2 oz tungsten on that joker and crash on through!
  3. Agreed. I've always looked at it as maybe the fish thinks it stunned/wounded whatever it just attempted to eat on the surface. Now it's falling through the water column and is easy pickings. I always have a senko ready when I'm throwing top water baits. I might be wrong on my logic but I do know it works and they rarely hit the surface bait again.
  4. Unless otherwise posted, go for it and play dumb if they do kick you out.
  5. Definitely depends on where you're at and the kind of fishing you do. For me, it would be a flipping stick.
  6. Some kids just aren't into it. My 8 yr old is a big time gamer as well. Mainly racing games. He will never turn down a day on the lake though.
  7. Now that's just awesome right there!
  8. When it takes me about an hr to load all my stuff up the night before....i would say yeah, just a lil too much.
  9. Never heard of downsizing in the fall in FL. Smaller baits will catch fish though. Buzzbaits, jig/craws and big paddle tail swimbaits have been great.
  10. So you're worried the H Tatula will not be enough but also afraid the MH will be too much (pool cue}?? The H/F Tatula is one of my favorite jig rods. Along with the Dobyns champion 735 XP. And the Zillion 7' 3" MH/F. They can be found used or even like new sometimes below your price range.
  11. I just got the X for my son. Kinda heavy buy feels super solid. He's 8 and just starting but can cast this thing no backlashes. For the price it's great imo.
  12. Big EZ and luck E strike bass magic
  13. That's the price I got mine from an eBay seller. I got the 7' 10" big plug/crank rod. Super light and balanced for the price.
  14. I simply remove everything that I can and rely on insurance for the rest. I have tamper proof nuts on my motor, trolling motor, batteries and power poles. All my gear and electronics come inside with me. Nothing else to really worry about. Thankfully, I've never had an issue.
  15. This happened to one of my Tatula rods. They sent me a new one with a tiny vile of some sort of glue. Give Gary a call, he'll take care of you.
  16. I run a 12" at the console and a 9" up front. And I never use either of them except for GPS purposes!
  17. I'm assuming you're referring to the hollow body double hook frogs. If so, do yourself a favor and get a heavy power, fast action rod. My favorites are a Dobyns champ XP 735 and an og Tatula 7' 4" H/F frog rod. For reels I like the Tatula 200hd and a Lew's suer duty. Both with 50lb braid, power pro or 832. My favorite thing about these combos is that they double as jig, pitching, swimjig and even C-rig applications.
  18. Come on now, we all know Jesus is a Floridian. I mean, look at those sandals bruh!
  19. For 90% of my fishing I have switched to tungsten. Anything under 1/4oz I use lead. Sometimes I will use brass for my C-rigs though
  20. Savage gear shad and bluegill line through for sure. Bull shad 6-7" and some Spro BBZ rats in 40-50 size. For line some 20-25# CXX or Izorline XXX.
  21. At least someone is catching them! I haven't found any beds or fish for that matter here.
