  1. You're fine I think. I've dragged my skeg on everything possible with nothing but a little paint missing. I recently installed one of those chrome covers on it.
  2. You my friend have patience. I started one years ago and ended up taking it to the upholstery shop and letting them finish it!
  3. If you have a certain company you like then nothing wrong with using all the same brand. However, there's no real benefit to it. I use mainly all *** because i really like them. Rods I'm all over the board with brands. It's all about getting a setup that fills your needs.
  4. She makes it home before you do and sees the big ass Tackle Warehouse order that you told the UPS man to leave at the back door but he didn't! ?
  5. I've always done B since I can remember. I only started using A since trying the punching hooks.
  6. @TnRiver46 if it's a long rod then maybe yes. @fishballer06 I used Abu products since I was was a teenager. A couple years ago I had an issue with two 6 month old Revos and they refused to help me! Itn was a known issue in the gen 3 models too. Sold all 20 of my Revos and moved on. Good luck with cs.
  7. I think those rods are already stiff to begin with so fixing one would make it even stiffer.
  8. I would think those are kind of universal to some reels. It might not be what came with it but you can find one that will work. Also, keep an eye on eBay for an original. Good luck
  9. All kids do that I think. A little patience is all that is needed in most cases.
  10. OG Tatula 7' 2" mh/regular, unbelievable all purpose rod. Can be had for around $100 now. Zillion 7-7' 3" mh/f is a step up for around $165 if you look right.
  11. Depends on time of year and weather. I'll usually start with a rat l trap, spinner bait or some kind of rain bait. If nothing, I'll go to a plastic worm. After that I'll switch ponds but will return either later in the afternoon or another day. There's this one big pond I fished on and off for about 3 months and never caught anything. Choked with vegetation all over it. As hard as it was I convinced myself there were no bass or people had kept them all over time. One day about a month ago, a buddy of mine was dead set on fishing it so we went. Told him all about my disappointments there. About 2 min after telling him that, he lands one on a fluke. Later on I landed a 6.5lb flipping. No idea why I could never catch anything there before. All my attempts were in the dead of summer too.
  12. Another vote for 704c... Great all around rod
  13. Hardly ever, but I use 17lb CXX too so . . . .
  14. Fury 806 will handle all of that stuff? Daiwa DX xh as well.
  15. I'm about to pull the trigger on the newest BB1 Pro but i also love the super duty.
  16. I would cry for days after! Well, assuming I make it past the initial heart attack i would suffer!
  17. Got out Saturday half a day til the rain moved in. Got a few on big EZs through lily pads and a few flipping thick reeds. These cold fronts are either going to set the fishing off or shut it down.
  18. ?? especially if you own a boat!
  19. Sorry no, i was using Mercury 2 stroke synthetic.
  20. I made the switch to Pennzoil a few months ago and no issues at all. Same smoke as with the Merc oil.
