  1. I just called up to the Rochester store. They have 1 left and the price is $112.
  2. Agree---The 200E works well and is a great reel. But there are others better for light stuff.
  3. The Gander store near me does not have the Zillion on sale, only the Daiwa HSTA (which is also a fine reel). Between the Zillion and Fuego, I like the Zillion. The weight does not bother me.
  4. It is very good stock, and can be easily up-graded. It is a steal at the current TW price.
  5. Zillion with TDZ-100M spool - casting Stradic - Spinning
  6. I agree with Hammer. I have both reels and think the Chronarch 100 is a better reel. The only downside to the reel is that it is heavier than the Curado 200E. I have the 100BPV version also and it is an excellent cranking reel.
  7. Cabelas had the Zillion Crazy Cranker on sale for $199 a few weeks ago. I consider the Zillion an outstanding cranking reel.
  8. Other than weight, I don't see a whole lotta difference between the 50mg and the Curado 100D. Can save lots of money going with the 100D.
  9. x-rap...best lure everrrrrrrrrrr
  10. I just got to fish with a TDZ105H yesterday. It is a super reel. The reel I borrowed was pretty beat up, but casted and handled like a dream. It is not as smooth as my Zillion, but that could be because it was used hard and not taken care of very well. Raul is right on. It is amazing for light baits. I am going to buy one.
  11. I recently purchased a Zillion baitcaster and think it is a great reel. I have been noticing that TDZ's can be had fairly inexpensively these days. So, I was wondering how the TDZ (with the air metal frame) compared to the Zillion reels from a performance standpoint. Thanks.
  12. Great looking fish. That fish is fat! A few weeks away for the Fall bite in PA.. Soon it is x-rap time.

  14. Great responses and a big help. It seems you can get a Fuego cheaper these days.
  15. I need another reel like a hole in the head. But, I have been wanting to try these reels and can only afford one. Which of these reels (per their specific application) is the better performer? Thanks. PS--I am talking about baitcasters
  16. I think TackleTours really missed the mark with their review of the Zillion Cranker. Even at the list price, how can this reel not rate higher than the Winch (with its plastic on plastic braking system). I have nothing against the Winch, I have one and several other ABUs, but come on!
  17. I have also owned the Winch and currently own a Chronarch 100bpv. The Zillion is just more exact. I think the power is due to the tight tolerances of the gearing. Although the BPV is good, it doesn't instill near the confidence when cranking deep baits, and doesn't cast as well.
  18. I think I just found the perfect cranking reel, The Zillion Cranker. This reel has awesome power and casts better than anything I own. I haven't been able to bog the reel down, even in current. Daiwa Engineers hit a homerun on this one.
  19. I too have an STX 7.1:1 that makes a whsitling/whining noise on the cast. I tried various lubes as you had. I started loosening the cast control knob until there was just a smidge side-to-side play in the spool, and cranking up the brakes. This stopped the noise and didn't really affect the performance.
  20. My dad stores his line in the refrigerator where he keeps his beer.
  21. I too think the STX outcasts Curados and Chronarchs, including the 50 mg (I own a 50 mg, 100B Chronarch, E7 and 100D). I just purchased a Zillion Cranker (on Sale at Cabellas Bargain Cave for 189.99 at the moment) and agree with Micro. It outcasts the STX. P.S. The Chronarch 100B is a highly underrated reel in my opinion. It is somewhat heavy (9 oz.) but I found that it is smoother and outcasts the E7. The Zillion and STX still cast farther in my experience than the CH100B, but not by alot.
  22. Check your e-mail. Schematics sent.
  23. I use it as backing. Works great for that...but then what line doesn't.
  24. I love it for baitcasters. I have had trouble with it on spinning reels.
  25. I agree with the Suskydude. I fish for smallmouth as though I am fishing for trout when the water gets low.
