  1. look into the carrot stiks. they are extremely light and they have a lifetime warranty.. but they are 150.. a bit over but well worth the extra couple dollars
  2. no pics to post but my biggest this year(and actually my PB) is a 9.6 lber off a shakey head; on 6lb line that was a hairy fight !.. and i also had a 8.6 lber i caught on a shad rap in the prespawn .. along with about 10 other fish over 5 lbs thus far.
  3. dude i dont know y quantum catches so much crap but i have never had a problem with them... i have a few accurists that are like 3 years old and still run like a champ.. and my energys are great reels! all you have to do is take care of them as with any reel.. i have actually had to send back my curados back more so then any of my quantums... but it all boils down to personal preference i suppose
  4. i spent memorial day weekend at lake gaston in carolina and fished my butt off! i tell ya the fish were really biting. They were post spawn in the portion of the lake i fished(lizard creek) and it seemed like you caught one off every dock you came too. They were definitely thumping a jig! the one pictured weighed in at 4.1 pounds and was only one of probably 30 i caught over the past two days
  5. haha well i dunno guys... i just love fishing more than anything in the world.. its all i do.. i just purchased my first boat(a 93 20' gambler with a 200 merc) and i plan on jumping into the large scale tournaments very soon.. and dont worry.. college is first on the list of things to do

dont be afraid of the hooks! they will catch the fish dont u worry... my personal best (9.6 lbs) came on a 1/8oz shakey jig and zoom finesse worm on 6lb test.. the proof is certainly in the pudding haha
  7. im a quantum guy but......i have a revo sx and its an amazing reel no doubt
  8. the only round reel i own is a calcutta.. and its the only shimano i have ever truly liiked... i toss heavier swimbaits and a c- rig on it
  9. well saturday was one heck of a day i kno that much! i was so excited to fish this tournament out on a local lake and i thought i was on to the pattern to win... Wrong! the first cast of the day seemed promising when i landed a 5.6lber (pictured) but the rest of the day i struggled managing only one more fish... good thing was that 5.6 won me the big fish pot and $180
  10. just fishing-- about 5 tournament-- about 8 all carrot stix =)
  11. well i'm discouraged to say this on here but IZORLINE XXX is pretty cheap and a good line but there is probably nothing wrong with your trilene

um i use all kinds but my new favorite are the mann's hard nose lizards.. they are nothing but the truth! i like to florida rig with a 3/8oz screw- lok weight sometimes but most of the time its just a regular ol texas rig with a 3/8 oz tru-tungsten weight and a 4/0 gamakatsu EWG hook. They are really good on a carolina rig too! i just use a 3/8oz tungsten egg sinker (smaller or bigger depending on bottom composition) and the same hook. 99% of the time i use more natural colors like watermelon or watermelon/red . If the water has more stain to it i will use a black/blue or maybe even a junebug. Anyways i hope that helps ya! Good luck and Tight Lines -Chaz-
  13. id have to say the winch is the way to go!
  14. went out yesterday and absolutely slammed on my home lake! I caught 31 with every fish being 3lbs or above , all on a wacky-rigged senko around grass. The biggest one (pictured) weighed in at 6.2 lbs. It was definitely an excellent day out on the lake!
  15. i love mine!!! i have 6 of them and wouldn't trade them for anything!
  16. i have just started to throw them around my parts and im tearing em up on a buzz bait.. i caught 2 over 6 just a feew days ago.. of course the 95 degree air temps are certainly helping haha ;D
