  7. Good to know General! I've been looking at those. I use many diff. kinds from Owner Twistlock or Falcon keel weighted. Davis Baits hooks are perfectly balanced.Pricey, but worth it.
  8. I think the whole lunker city lure line-up is underrated. Remember my post awhile back, where I said the Slug-Go was the most underrated. Lunker City is more of a Northeast thing. The salad spoon was before it's time. They don't have the advertising budget of say Strike-King.
  9. Tonight I was catching them on a Swimn' image jr. in pumpkinseed. First TW bite of the year. Way early this year.
  10. John, I too, just started using flourocarbon line on a few of my spinning and bait cast set ups. I previously used Yo-Zuri Hybrid and sufix on most of my reels. The first thing I noticed was line twist. It happens after most outings. I do the same remedy of dragging it thru a microfiber cloth, with KVDLL on it. It sure helps. Fluoro is like a hot babe-very needy and high maintenance, but worth the extra attention. I fish mostly clear lakes and ponds, but I can already tell the bass are less line shy. There's a small private 3 acre pond I fish and they are already on beds. I caught more than normal using a Strike-King 5 inch shim-e-stick,which I fished all last year. I'm fishing with the Spider Wire Ultra-cast 100% flouro, its superb in all the good traits.
  11. Yup, I'm with G. I also look for raptors. My mother called me Nature Boy when I was a kid. That's what I still do every day in the car. Heck, you should see me looking out airplane windows. The person next to me sometimes remarks,"Whatcha' lookin' at?" Lakes, ponds, rivers. Then they're like,OH....
  12. A great day! This is what us Northern Boys wait 5 months for.
  13. Glad to see you and CJ caught some good'ns out on the river. Here's to many happy and successful days in your new boat. That nine pounder probably felt the pull from the full moon tomorrow. hookset
  14. bobbyc, that's some big ol' PA bass. I used to live in Paoli, and honed my skills, fishin' ponds in southeastern PA.
  15. Nice Chunks T!! The lake(s) you fish have the the best fed bass around. What are some of the forage species? hookset
  16. Hey Island, I'm psyched for you. As a fellow northern basser on the east coast I feel your pain. Now it's fish every chance you get. Good Luck, hookset on 3
  17. I fished for five hours in the light rain...air temp 52...today. I BassFish every day no matter the weather. I will fish until are lakes and ponds ice up in winter. I've been addicted for honest to goodness 40 years. Been thru two wives to boot. Dude, it's in your DNA,so don't fight it. hookset on 3 ;D
  18. I had the exact same issues. San Diego Jam is jammin' mon. I use it on every type of hook or lure except for drop shot.

  20. If you like smallies, then a float trip down the Susquehanna would get your mind right!
  21. That's a grown one there, boys! Rolo, why do a lot of lunkers have protruding eyes? Is it a sign of old age and maybe their cranial cavity shrinks? hookset on 3
