  1. How often do I fish? How over do I catch? Getting a lot of practice casting lately!
  2. I believe the the length & that's about it.

Pretty sure that line of thinking got Keith in trouble. Visitors may access the area by vehicle as well as enter the 500 acre impoundment via a roller boat ramp which has been constructed on the 200 foot long embankment. (800) 792-1112. I guess for you that's just a suggestion! Here ya go there's 10,000 results, that should keep busy. https://tpwd.texas.gov/s?q=North+toledo+bend+wma+access&filter=none

    No you didn't!
  5. If you're using plastics with appendages hanging off everywhere it's gonna get hung up pegged or unpegged. Many times I've had bass annihilate my Texas Rig after popping it free.

Ya need to Google TP&W & do some research. Ya think the rollers are just a suggestion?
  7. The only time I peg is punching matted vegetation. To this dumb Cajun fishing a Texas Rig through cover takes a level of sensitivity seldom mentioned here. That sensitivity is not only in the rod but in the hands of the angler. Then ya gotta interpret what's being felt.

Keith was DQ'd for being in non tournament waters...period. From what I gleaned from he's videos, he compared it to "locking" through. Problem is when locking through, you're going from tournament waters to tournament waters. As for jumping the road that is prohibited by Texas Parks & Wildlife. The rollers are there for a reason! One of the WMAs I fish it is elligal to break a limb on a tree to access an area. From a boat or on the bank.
  9. Absolutely don't throw Magnum Trick Worms!
  10. Copper ?
  11. Uhh! Nope! Don't believe the whole theory on the amount of separation between the weight & the worm. It's inches not feet! Once you move the Texas Rig that separation closes & doesn't open again. Don't snell nothing either
  12. #1 ?
  13. Extra Fast: bottom contact Fast: everything else
  14. I do that & occasionally replace em with red...bluegill
  15. Coontail is just black/brown/amber, old school.
  16. As mentioned what body of water plays a major roll. I fish tidal waters quite often, the tide has to be moving or don't even bother going. For ponds, lakes, & reservoirs, how much rise or fall & how quickly.

  21. Ever watch a crawfish falling back down to the bottom? What Strike King call a Slither Rig, V&M calls it a Slip n Jig, & some call it a Punch Rig. The original was called a Texas Rigged Jig. I've thrown em for years.
  22. Top is Coontail add a Falcon Lake Craw Black-n-Blue tip add a sapphire blue craw Black Neon is simply black with red metal flake. Highly under rated color.
