  1. 11 lb 3 oz, heavy vegetation, from the bank, on 15# Big Game using this technique.
  2. Ahh yes but have y'all tried the Tatula?

  4. There is standing timber scattered along slopes, Hydrilla, Coontail, & Milfoil up in the shallows.
  5. Tween late winter & early pre-spawn, off colored, cold water. Lunker Lures Rattleback Jig

  7. That's my jig rod ? In my opinion at $150-200 there isn't a better series of rods available.
  8. 99.95% of the time no rattles
  9. Doesn't matter as long as it's rigged straight.
  10. Highly overlooked category of soft plastics! I would start with Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Craw.

  12. Can't remember who made em but I used to buy some that were bullet shaped. My every day is 1/8, 3/16, or 1/4 oz depending on cover. All unpegged ?
  13. Less flex ? In a flat bottom you can really feel the flex, mod-v has quite a bit less flex.
  14. One has to consider the Worm! Some ribbontails have more tail than body while others have more body than tail. Anaconda's tail is quite wide & catches more air. Zoom's Ole Monster has a narrower tail & catches less air. The Ridge Worm doesn't have the permeate curl & I don't classify it as a ribbontail.
  15. Tatula has more backbone than most people get it credit for. Medium heavy allows me to walk the frog easier, ideal for pin point accuracy, & it allows me to skip where a heavy doesn't.
  16. I throw the 7'3" Tatula TTU731MHFB, Medium Heavy Fast. I'm usually throwing a Bronzeye 65 size frog. Great write up ?
  17. In a Denny Brauer video he was asked what a jig bite felt like. He answered, I don't know but I know what they don't feel like! He went on to explain if you watched him flip-n-pitch down a bank you would think he's crazy. I set hook on everything he went on to explain, grass, twigs, leaves, stumps, logs, & bass. C'est Tout Fini!
  18. First time I saw the "Hawg Trough", ya know that big aquarium on a trailer at tackle shows. I was standing right up against the plexiglass when the Pro threw a Texas Rig & a 3# bass sucked it in & spit it out before my pea brain could comprehend what happened. My first thought was, you're slow on your hook sets. Since then I don't wait on nothing!
  19. Your reasons for using straight braid?
  20. Nope! Quite as brand new ? I don't put anything on my hands when fishing or hunting.
  21. What y'all doing to your reels? I have 4 LSF, a Tournament MB, a Tournament MP, a Team Lite, & a a Tournament Lite. Fish em 3-4 times a week & clean em every other week...nothing missing.
  22. Nope! I got the MB & MP, my son has the Mach 2...non issues!
