  1. If 10% of the water does in fact hold 90% of the fish that pretty much answers the question. 50+ years of fishing Toledo Bend ya wanna guess how many way points I have? Do I catch em on the exact GPS location? No! But on the same piece of structure. Some spots are seasonal
  2. Eliminate your history you've eliminated your experience.
  3. I got one of those, first 7' rod I ever brought.
  4. I wish I could find someone to make one like Gene Larew's. They were 7 1/2", the head was about the size of a 1/4 oz bullet weight, the texture held up to 4-5 fish.

  16. The old saying; find the bait, find the bass doesn't always hold true. There will be times where you will find bait & no bass. And there will be times where you will find bass & no bait. This doesn't mean you were seeing bass. This is my clue to move on

    Absolutely a class act!
  18. From what you're describing I wouldn't fish it, I would move on.
  19. Couldn't say how long I've been doing this. The ones I use I buy at a electrical supply store. They are 3" long & maybe 1/16" wide. What I like about them the most is the tag end lays horizontal (flat) instead of vertical.
  20. Ain't gonna put a percentage on it because I don't care! That's something that happens in the moment!
  21. Of all the thing I dislike about fluorocarbon knot strength isn't one of them.
  22. There are certain colors that for whatever reason just work. Chrome Black Back is one of those colors. Not just with topwater lures but crankbaits, & lipless. When Bill Lewis first started selling Rat-L-Traps your color choices were chrome black back, chrome blue back, & Smoky Joe. We threw them under all conditions.
