On February 1, 2003, Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated as it reentered the atmosphere over Texas and Louisiana, killing all seven astronauts on board. I was on Toledo Bend in the Hemphill Texas area.

Karens & Kens confronting you when fishing!
Simple solution The water & the fish belongs to the public. The dock, wharf, bulk head belongs to the land owner. The angler can not step foot on the dock, wharf, or bulkhead. The land owner can not deny access to fish. That's how our laws read!

Jig Fishing Questions
@shimmy The Jig is one of the most productive lures for fishing heavy cover of any type known to anglers. The Jig is one of the most productive lures for catching larger than average bass. But despite its pure awesomeness the angler must keep in mind there will be days when the bass simply do not want a jig. So to all the young anglers (not chronological but experientially) struggling when casting, flipping, pitching, or punching with the Awesome Jig keep in mind there will be times when the Jig aint gonna be that AWESOME.

@Mbirdsley Sarcasm ?- Dragging vs. Slow Lift and Drop for Winter and Early Spring Jig Fishing?
Yes sir ?- Dragging vs. Slow Lift and Drop for Winter and Early Spring Jig Fishing?
Random movements Unless something scares the crawfish its movements are random. Kinda like you're doing- This is starting to make sense…
Covering water is not about mph!- Dragging vs. Slow Lift and Drop for Winter and Early Spring Jig Fishing?
Well actually I don't flip or pitch. I do what I call a "roll cast", with my lure hanging 12-14" from my rod tip, I will make a backwards C with my rod tip. To picture it in your mind point your finger out & simply make a backwards C. I can hit any target from the distance of a medium flip out to as far as you can cast. Something I learned bank fishing as a kid.- Best all around baitcaster coming from spinning reel
My son has had that combo for 3 yrs now with zero issues. Lew's is just a dependable as Diawia or Shimano. If you're really concerned about backlashes, set your reel up properly & educate your thumb.- Not yet 40 degree water - yes or no and how?
Oh great! Now I need a dissolved oxygen meter to go along with my thermometer, & foward facing sonar. Dang it how bout I just go fishing!- are you retired? do you fish ALL the time?
