  1. Sure hope the bass read this!
  2. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you confuse him for a lifetime. Only way to know which lure a bass will eat is to throw it!
  3. I've preached for years, pre-spawn starts long before most anglers believe. Most sit around waiting on a magical number on a thermometer. Most believing 60-65 is that magical range. They fail to consider those numbers are surface temperatures. Bass do not lay eggs on the surface. Second they fail to consider those temperatures indicate the bass are already laying eggs. Once the female starts laying eggs they become more difficult to catch. By this time frame most bass have been in pre-spawn for a month or more.
  4. I'm fishing 3-4 days a week, usually every other day. I check my line periodically through the day. On days I ain't fishing I'm pulling maintenance on everything. I stay Cocked, Locked, & Ready to Rock!
  5. Well gonna loose some of y'all! I would pick a Yellow Magic 1/4 oz in bone. Instead of popping it I would walk the dog kinda fast.
  6. I don't know whose jigs & hooks y'all are using but y'all need to switch brands. Looking in my jig box I have Fluorocarbon jigs, Oldham's jigs, & Siebert Outdoors jigs. They have had trailers attached for a couple years with no signs of rust.
  7. I love the smell of a fireplace or bacon in the breeze.
  8. I love fishing in the spring Spinner baits with a fling I love pitching in the brush Rat-L-Traps in a rush I love that big bump When you flip by a stump I love flying across the lake The sound a 2 stroke makes
  9. Every morning Community Dark Roast, 4 cup coffee pot is actually 2 cups for me.
  10. Cocked, Locked, & Ready to Rock! 3 setups still rigged from last Thursday, I 'll be throwing them in the morning.
  11. Neither ? Green Pumpkin is a color that doesn't produce that well for me. Three exceptions, Okeechobee Craw & Green Pumpkin craw with blue claws or Green Pumpkin worm with a blue tail.
  12. Again a dumb Cajun's opinion If you purchased the boat with credit cards how much would that note be? That shows you can afford to pay off existing debts. I wouldn't use that whole amount but at least 50-75% of it.
  13. Don't know what bank you're using but I have 3 debit cards, two from a bank & one from a credit union. All three send me a text on every purchase. Plus any unusual transaction the cards are frozen until myself or my wife approve the transactions. Everything I own is paid for except for my recent purchase of a 2021 Nissan Rogue.
  14. I'm fishing brackish tidal waters off the Sabine river. From January through March these bass are feeding on grass shrimp that both the tide & strong winds are moving them out of the marsh. The 1/4 oz Bettle Spin matches the size of the shrimp.
  15. Never had a credit card & have no intention of ever having a credit card! Doesn't sound like to me.
  16. Texas Rig & Jig-n-Craw ? Now I will throw whatever they're biting on! My most productive lure so far this year is a 1/4 oz White Beetle Spin.
  17. I fish lakes, rivers, bayous, marshes, & swamps. I run into every kind of vegetation both emergent & submergent. Trees, laydowns, stumps, brush, submerged standing timber. I like fishing Hydrilla Anything 15' +/- 3' ?
  18. Pretty sure that already happened. The Scoundrel may have been around longer but there's way more anglers today.
  19. Catt replied to Darth-Baiter's topic in Everything Else
I don't drink anymore but back in the day...400 Conejos
  20. Y'all are hilarious ?
  21. Y'all will be amazed the difference this will make. I clean & lub the worm gear & the housing the line guide moves on. This is extremely important for the bank fisherman.
  22. Screw lock ?
  23. Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Worm Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Craw Mr Twister's 8" Mag Buzz Worm Strike King's Rage Swimmer Strike King's Rage Craw on the back of a jig.
