Question on Bass Movement
The first time they were caught they were tagged & DNA samples taken. Ya really think someone caught these fish & released them on the exact location they were previously caught?

Rod and reel for my son
At 3 you have no idea if he will even like fishing. He showed interest in your spinning reels because he saw you playing with them. Start him out with a Snoopy or Spiderman combo until you learn what his interest are.

Question on Bass Movement
I will repeat ? It validated that bass do what they want to do, when they want to do it, where they want to do it.

One of them did it in two weeks! Were you referring to Todd Driscoll's research on the Big Pond?

Question on Bass Movement
I know of 2 DD bass on Toledo Bend that were caught in the Housen'/Six Mile area then weighted in at Toledo Tackle and released at Pendleton Bridge which is about 20-25 miles. Both bass were caught again in the Housen'/Six Mile area and weighted in at Toledo Tackle again

Are most people opposed to live sonar?

Need help Understanding wind direction.
This discussion reminds me of that old saying, "the northwest shores warm the fastest". Considering the above map of Toledo Bend which shore would that be? Or during the spring the bass move into the backs of creek channel coves. Pick one?

Are most people opposed to live sonar?
The heaviest five-fish limit ever reported in a tournament on Toledo Bend is 42.36#. This was during a Bass Champs tournament on February 11, 2023. I will look at all the results from first to last place. During this particular tournament I noticed several "hammers", "sticks", that skunked! They all had foward facing sonar!

Need help Understanding wind direction.
Overall size of the body of water plays a roll. Geographical location plays a role. Topography of the surrounding area plays a role. Few bodies of water lay directly north/south or east/west.

Anyone T-rig a finesse worm ?
First time I saw a "Wacky Rig" was back in the early 80s, it consisted of Zoom's Trick Worm, 2/0 straight shank hook, & a 1" paneling nail in the tail.

Anyone T-rig a finesse worm ?
If it's plastic I've Texas Rigged it! I throw "finnesse" worms not because of their size but because they're straight tail worms. I also like Zoom's Magnum Finesse Worm. 1/16-1/8 oz 1/0-2/0 straight shank hooks Shaky Head

Are most people opposed to live sonar?
Probably not...maybe ? There are plenty tournaments on Toledo & Rayburn that are still being won without it.

Are most people opposed to live sonar?
Around here it's 60-40 60% have it, with many saying they use it in situations. Opposed? It's here ?

Continue to search for active bass vs slowing down -when?
Long before Larry Nixon became the "General" he was known as Mr. Versititly. Not for using every technique known to man but for his ability to read subtle changes in conditions & quickly adapt.

Four season anglers, which season gives you the most trouble?
Down here we have Pre-spawn Spawn Post spawn Summer Fall Winter Actually pre-spawn/spawn irritates me the most! Bass are scattered & constantly moving. The weather is everything from sleet to sunny & in the 70s. Fronts moving through every 2-3 days. It is however time to catch NADINE!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
My most productive time frame is from the July full moon until the September full moon with August being the most productive. Ya gotta understand I night fish from April through October. The majority came from grass, Hydrilla, Coontail, & Milfoil.
