  1. There's a pretty good population, see a 8' down around the 6-Mile launch.
  2. We see threads about Daiwa reels, Lew's reels, Shimano reels, but practically zero on Abu Garcia. They make some great reels.
  3. So You Want To Learn Toledo Bend? Started August 7, 2008 1.5M views 9.7K replies 131 followers Hopefully helped somebody ?
  4. Don't really give a rat's! I listen to Bassresource members & friends...that's it!
  5. Changed a prop 3 times while in the water. All 3 were because of a spun hub. Twice in a marsh, firm bottom, standing about waist deep. Once on Toledo Bend, just headed to the bank. Back then when you bought an outboard it came with an aluminum prop, we bought stainless props, keep the aluminum for backup.
  6. Awesome cleaner will clean aluminum boats, fiberglass boats, upholstery, carpet, tires, rims, your truck, & it removes water scrum, mildew, mold. The wife uses it to clean grease splatters in the kitchen, cleans counter tops, & the bathroom. You can get it at Dollar General, Family Dollar, Lowe, or Home Depot.
  7. I Don't Care as long as it's under 15 mph

  10. The dude is catching bass all ready, which tells me he kinda knows something. He's problem is he needs to catch bigger bass. If you're catching small bass, my suggestion is change locations.
  11. There's your answer right there! To be successful ya gonna have to spend time on the water.
  12. Pitching distance? Or casting distance? Not that it matters, you do what you're comfortable with. I'm like @WRB I take up "slack", move line with my reel. I can move 31" with a single handle turn.
  13. At what distance & depth?
  14. The study also looked at trolling motor noise & driving over them with the outboard. The effects were the same, it effected some & not others. Conclusion, do what you like.
  15. Radio telemetry studies show the pinging of the transducer effects some bass while others ignore it. The studies also showed your first cast spooked bass as well.
  16. I ain't talking about the Elite series, you can't run fast enough to give me anything with EVA grips. As far weight I used Calcuttas for years that puppy is over 9 ozs without a rod. I give y'all another excellent rod in this price range. Kistler Argon ?
  17. Custom Speed Stick Lite HM85 TP1X Speed Stick HM40
  18. Wonder what bass got interviewed to get these percentages? Just because a bass isn't in the process of actually chewing its food how do we know it's active or inactive? If they're suspended or sitting on the bottom how can one tell if they're active or not? Guess all this is above my pay grade.
  19. That's funny right there ? I gave away 2 Lew's rods after I bought my Tatula. I will say Lew's TP1 Black is a pretty decent rod.

  21. The fish are always biting somewhere, it's our job to find somewhere!
