  1. California, Cuba, & Florida I know the California bass came from Florida, not sure about Cuba. I'm pretty sure foward facing sonar played a roll in these 5 catches.
  2. 42+# if I remember correctly but I would have to research it.
  3. Yes sir! ? That's why I don't give my rods names. That way if I throw a spinnerbait on my jig rod it doesn't get confused!
  4. Exactly ? I go 1/2, 3/4, & 1 oz Slow ain't always the correct answer, Rat-L-Traps are deadly in cold water. Try it, might surprise ya!
  5. BFL Tournament 5 bass over 10 lbs weighed in, 13 lb 6 oz big bass!
  6. Baitmate (clear) with a ½ oz of 100% pure anise oil.
  7. Watch your night time temperatures. When the night temperatures match or exceed the water temperatures, we start retaining heat! Techniques & lures, down here everything is pretty much in play.
  8. I didn't hear any revelations but rather validations of what many of us already knew. There's bass shallow, there's bass deep, & there's bass that move in between. Bass are where they wanna be, when they wanna be there. Josh said his approach to finding big bass was to launch his boat, put the trolling motor down, turn it on high, & start graphing at the launch. Sounds like something I read on bassresource!
  9. Josh Jones #1 bait in any body of water is a 3/8-1/2 oz swim jig, no trailer with the skirt cut short.
  10. @BrianMDTX My new jig rod is a Kistler Helium HE7045HMH 7'0" Heavy Medium Heavy X-Fast Only problem is the jig bite sucks the last couple of years so I ain't been able to review it other than it cast great.
  11. Bowfin, Grinnel or Choupique (shoe pick). Around here they get up to 10-12# & will absolutely destroy any spinnerbait. Hell of a fight but totally useless!
  12. Lubriplate NLGI #2, Lithium Complex grease
  13. Feature a precision ground tapered shaft, ground from .041 to .028, for maximum vibration. This gives you a thicker wire at the line tie & thinner at the blades for unmatched flash/vibration. Stanley has an 1/8 oz double willowleaf & a double Colorado Vibra-Shaft. For my "finesse" spinnerbait I prefer the Wedge Plus in 1/4 oz. It features the Vibra-Shaft along with tapered "Wedge" blade.
  14. Tom you're like me, we're so dang old all they had back then was one or two lures.
  15. Not all bass make a bee line for the warmest water. Some of my biggest winter stringers came out of the coldest water in the shade. Once the sun hit the bite stopped.
