What type of braid
Spinnerbaits are one option Zoom's Magnum Ultravibe Speed Worm reeled on top. I have more success with Stanley's Ribbit or Zoom's Horny Toad over hollow body frogs.

What type of braid
Ain't no braided line gonna cut lily pad stems! Early stike detection, as soon as you feel the bite, don't wait on nuthin, set hook. Set hook with authority! Turn that head, get em coming to you, all on the hookset. Be ready to move, sometimes ya gotta go get em. What happens more times than not is your hook point has penetrated the fish & is exposed. This exposed hook point will stick the lily pad stem. Watch some Hack Attack videos

Red / Red Variation Crank Baits In Winter ?
Color expression in crawfish is regulated largely by special pigment containing cells (chromatophores) located beneath the exoskeleton, and color is normally a function of two factors, developmental stage and the environment. Most crawfish species are generally greenish or brownish as immature animals and begin to take on the characteristic colors as the approach maturity. Color manifestations is intensified in sexually mature individuals. The aquatic environment and diet also influence color. Individual specimens of crawfish vary in color from the normal population. Color variants are almost endless with respect to degree and/or pattern of expression. Molting is the periodic shedding of the old exoskeleton (shell) and takes place with each increase in size which can be 4-6 times a year; once the crawfish reaches maturity the molting process stops Each individual crawfish will vary in color before, during, & after molting!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I agree there will be more pressure but out of those who normally don't fish those lake how successful do you think they be? Take Toledo Bend, the daily limit is 8 bass with a 14" minimum. How many people you know can catch a limit every day?

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Wouldn't surprise me What cracks me up is a lot of guys still saying the lake is dying.

How would you fish these upcoming conditions?
I generally don't suggest running-n-gunning but now is when you want to cover water. Not just distance wise but the entire water column. Clear water doesn't necessarily mean crystal clear. Little color doesn't hurt. Me personally, no bait, no bass, but keep in mind both the bait & the bass gonna be moving.

With rain comes muddy water, find the cleanest water. As to which lure selection, that will change with the water conditions. Ya gonna have to do some fishing!

How would you fish these upcoming conditions?
Rayburn is on ? Y'all need to understand 2 things about pre-spawn. First it starts before most of y'all believe. It is said the bass move into the creeks & this is true. What y'all need to consider is there are resident bass already in the creeks...these resident bass move first. Second once the bass make the commitment to move shallow & a front moves through the bass do not move back offshore. They will fall back a breakline or two.
-
How would you fish these upcoming conditions?
Early pre-spawn bass will pull back with these conditions but not that far. Once bass make the move shallow they don't totally abandon.
-
How would you fish these upcoming conditions?
Conditions less than ideal for anglers doesn't effect the bass the same way. Case in point Since last Saturday with less the ideal conditions on Toledo Bend a new record 5 bass stringer of 39 lbs 15 oz was caught along with 8 bass over 10# was caught. Yesterday again with less than ideal conditions a new lake record of 15.67 lbs along with 3 more over 10 lbs. Ya need to pay more attention to the previous days weather.
