I enjoy the hunt as much as the catch.

The effects of frontal conditions depends on the body of water, the severity of the front, & the time of year. From December through March we have fronts every 2-3 days. These fronts bring rain, all our river systems are above flood stage. High muddy waters changes the conversation of the effects of frontal conditions.

Some days the pattern is one in a row. Some days the pattern is none in a row.

I've been throwing the Helium, I just ain't been catching on it. My jig bite last year was horrible! I like a Medium Heavy that leans towards Heavy & I prefer X-Fast. Length, 6'10" - 7'1", why because I'm comfortable.

Radio telemetry studies show there are bass shallow (near the shoreline) & bass deep (offshore) year round. The shallow bass do not move offshore because of a front. As mentioned there's a lot of guys the made a fortune fishing just one & some who fish both. There's a lot more to it than just atmospheric changes.

Pre-frontal conditions Moving baits crankbaits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, lipless Bass are usually more active. Post frontal conditions Slower baits Texas Rigs, Jig-n-Craw, Dropshot, Wacky Rig, weightless Bass less active

If you're fishing brackish water your line is picking up enough water to cause problems. 80% of the waters I fish are brackish, I do a light to moderate cleaning after every trip. Preventive maintenance

Just a dumb Cajun's opinion Sounds like something someone needs who occasionally dunks their reels in brackish water.

Same here ? Don't remember the manufacturer but I think they were called "Bubble Claw". They were about 5-6" with a bubble pocket in the claw. You would insert a round rattle in the pocket. The negative was you lost a lot of rattles. Ran out of rattles one night & continued catching with out em. One of my favorite jigs & one I still use in certain conditions is Lunker Lures Triple Rattleback Jig. And of course Strike King's Denny Brauer Pro Model Jig.

I test drove iRod Genesis II, loved the rod & everything about it with the exception of the EVA grips. Do not own a rod with EVA grips, will never own a rod EVA grips!

@J._Bricker F22: faster, more maneuverable, lower radar cross section. Better suited for that mission but the movie is about the Navy.
