Radio telemetry studies on Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, & Lake Fork show a portion of the population lived their entire life within a certain distance from the bank. Another portion of the population lived their entire life never seeing a shoreline. Another portion of the population moved between the two.

I actually started catching more because I gained confidence in myself.

On any given day from February through April there can be 3,000-4,000 tournament & weekend warriors on Toledo Bend. My job ain't to try & figure out what they're doing. My job is to figure out what the bass are doing in the areas I'm fishing.

Every spring on Toledo Bend when the water is up in the buck brush & in the "reeds" in the marshes. @Big-O has another video but I can't find it.

Yes but that ain't the only places. Some bass actually stay "shallow" year round. Again yes but not the only answers. Depending on the size of the body of water some bass spawn offshore.

Does that mean you're too young to answer! I totally don't understand why y'all are so worried about white lights hurting your night vision. What are y'all trying to see? I'm already fishing in the dark so while my eyes adjust I can still cast. Bass do not morph into a new creature just because the sun set, neither does their food source. I fish the same structure, with the same techniques as I do during the daytime. If I'm on a productive pattern that includes a Redbug worm you can bet your sweet bippy that I'll be throwing that worm after the sun sets! I let the bass tell me, hey dummy I don't like that color no mo!

You're how old & still don't know how to wear a ball cap?

That one I use weighs maybe 2 oz max, I often forget it's there. I use it only to re-tie or look for something. I've never had a problem with white effecting my night vision. My vision is back to normal in a matter of a couple minutes. There's usually enough ambient light to land fish by thumb or net.

Catching em is easy, finding em is the problem. We talk "location & timing", the timing portion isn't only about being there when big momma is but being there when she actively feeding. Get these two down & your odds of catching her greatly increase. If she ain't actively feeding then you gotta induce a reaction stike. Oh by the way this holds true for smaller fish as well.

For running at night Brinkmann Max Million III For re-tying a cap light in white. I don't worry about white lights affecting my night vision, I'm trying a lure on, not flying an F22 Raptor. With a baitcaster I feel my spool slowing down by keeping my thump hovering slightly above it.
