All bass are "catchable", just not all the time. Next after location is timing; just because you don't get bite does not mean the bass aren't there or you tied on the wrong lure.

Can y'all explain how to find catchable bass?

Ya ever watch a crawfish fleeing danger? It flips it's tail which lifts it upwards & backwards. It will do this 3 times in rapid succession kinda dropping slightly between tail flips.

Ain't no way to tell that even in daylight! Sometimes even with a Chatterbait ya gotta hit on the head. I can guarantee they will find your Texas Rig, Jig-n-Craw, Shaky Head, or weightless Senko.

There no lures you can throw that a bass wouldn't know it's there! They can find a black worm sitting dead still in 20' of water on a moonless night.

I adjust based off of the bass's activity level. Sometimes it's short & fast, sometimes it's short & slow. Sometimes it's longer & fast, sometimes it's longer & slow. I will do 3 "hops" in a row

Took up bass fishing!

Bass do not morph into a new creature just because the sun set. Neither does they're prey. Throw the same lures you would during the day. Bass are under dock for shade, what is shade? Shadows! Depending on moon phase the will still be shadows, ie ambush points. If the lake is known for Crappie fishing look for brush piles & lights. Yes there will be bass away from the dock, quite often there's seawalls or rock stopping erosion.

Experience trumps equipment ever single time! Knowing what structure is, knowing how to truly identify it, knowing how read it, and then fishing it effectively, is the quickest, surest means of consistently putting bass in the boat
