Examples Pre-spawn/spawn, the bass are moving, this Cajun will be moving. Dog Days of Summer with night time temperatures still in the 90s, the bass are lethargic & not moving. This Cajun ain't gonna be wondering around far. I've been known to sit on a single piece of offshore structure all night.

I use that stuff for cleaning everything around the house, car, truck, boat, rods, reels, & tackle boxes. Spray, let sit for 5 minutes, scrub if necessary, rinse thoroughly, & let dry. FYI: It can be diluted as necessary

When to court, the judge asked where I was fishing, I told him. Then he asked how many, I told him. Then he asked on what, I told him. He said case dismissed 😁

@Tennessee Boy to steal from someone else. Detecting the bite is 90% mental & the other 10% is in your head. I often explain it this way. I could give my wife the most sensitive rod Gary Loomis has ever produced, put the best high dollar reel on the market, spool it the finest flourcarbon available & it wouldn't be any more sensitive to her than a Ugly Stik, a Zebco 33, with Wally World monofilament. Why! Cause what's transmitted up the line, though the rod, down the arm, is lost in the brain.

Dang I guess I don't know nuthin! I throw Berkley Big for almost everything except frogs or punching. My worm rod is a 100$ Powell Inferno & the others are 150$ Diawa Tatula. Casting into 15-20' of water I can feel a 1/4 weight hit bottom. I don't touch my line & I don't stare at my line. 54 yrs of night fishing thought me how to detect bites.

Yes sir 😉 Every good "worm" fisherman I know, their #2 technique is a Jig-n-Craw. Every good Jig-n-Craw fisherman I know their #2 technique is a Texas Rig. It's deadly down here in Texas year round.

Said it before, there are two setups on my deck 24/7/365. Texas Rig & Jig-n-Craw. The T-rig is everything from weightless to a Punch Rig. A Punch Rig is nothing more than a T-rig on steroids!

@Caiden24 This is a huge subject & would eat up several pages. Lots of words & definitions are regional, thus causing confusion. Not trying to avoid your question but my suggestion would be to search this sight for previous discussion. While this site has a search function, I get better results using Google, type in structure, followed by bassresource.com.

@Tennessee Boy The videos of Todd Driscoll using radio telemetry & FFS verified what Buck taught as well as what many of us believed. A portion of the population stay within a certain distance from the shoreline. A portion of the population send their entire lifetime never seeing a shoreline. A portion of the population move between the two. Ya gotta realize what Buck did was without any kind of electronics.

@WRB Down here it was called a Wacky Rig, depending on water depth we would at a paneling nail for weight. Oh! Yeah it was a Trick Worm not a Senko.

When talking "structure", like @WRB mentioned we need to delineate between ponds, river/creeks, natural bodies of water, & man made lakes & reservoirs. Cover that's mentioned as being structure is breaks/breaklines. Yes breaks/breaklines are technically structure. Isolated structure or cover doesn't necessarily have to be off by itself to attract bass.

Catt: He's headed for Six Mile, if you start the big motor we can head em off. Pat now standing behind me: Want me to pour some water on your reel? Catt: No! just get the gun! Look a swirl just under the surface, a sudden dive for freedom, your mine sucker. Pat with quick move and it's in the net: Took you long enough. Catt falls back into the seat drops his rods on the deck: Dude let's see it. Pat turn on the interior lights: Shoot it's only a stripper! Catt sits up, lips it and grabs the tail, gotta be at least 36" Pat digs around in the console for the scales 16 LB 5 OZ. Catt: Slipping it back in, that's a hawg right there. Pat: Don't count it's a stripper! Catt: Still a hawg Pat: You're still down 7 to 4, shut up & fish!
