  1. Not many of y'all fish deep water structure? I'm referring to structures in the 25'+ range with the bass holding on the bottom. Distance & accuracy is extremely important. Hitting a target at 20-25 yds is one thing, 25' down is another.
  2. You're not going to see a huge advantage with these reels. Yes there's different breaking, gears, & weight. But in my opinion once dailed in they all perform pretty much the same.

Definitely gets my blood pressure up!
  4. @Team9nine X2 I have the 18" because all I'm concerned with is the minimum length limit on Toledo Bend which is 14". After that it's to the scale.
  5. The KVD is basically the LFS but in red I have the LFS, MB, & MP; all 3 preform the same.
  6. This dumb Coonass When the water is wet Diawa Tatula TTU731MHFB Lew's Tournament MP TS1SHMP 7.5:1 Sunline Shooter 20# main line Berkley Big Game 12# leader 1/2, 3/4, or 1 oz LEAD weight Glass bead Mustad 3/0 Offset Round Bend Zoom Fluke, LFT Ring Fry, 6th Sense Hogwalla
  7. Southwest Louisiana 😉 Oh Choupique's put up a great fight, ruin your lures, they're slimy, ain't good to eat, fool you into thinking they are bass. Besides I ain't Choupique fishing I'm bass fishing.
  8. Xpress H18 Length: 17' 10" Bottom: 67" Beam: 93" w/ Yamaha VF115LA Depth finders & trolling motor $30,395 Xpress H17 Length: 17' Bottom: 67" Beam: 93" w/Yamaha VF90LA Depth finders & trolling motor $29,995 Both have a Hyper-Lift hull & handle rough water very well.
  9. Better buy a half dozen, Choupique (Bowfin) will absolutely destroy any lure. We try hard not to catch em. The new Snagless Sally's have better skirts & hooks.
  10. Never seen a Snagless Sally? Yes they are still made & still deadly! https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&prevsearch=&searchtext=Snagless+Sally+&_gl=1*sz4ty8*_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQiA67CrBhC1ARIsACKAa8Q3Ftken5FDMwlUlPd0q0uyx_rkBdK6w1sRw1krBfDoaqfvfZfqTzUaAs9_EALw_wcB
  11. First off I can't believe y'all ain't got no aluminum fabrication shops near you. I could have that built in about an hour for the price of a 6 pack of beer. Second any of y'all try finding marine grade plywood that is actually in stock? Third to stop the corrosion between treated wood & aluminum, simply use a sealant between the two.
  12. Caught many bass on that right there!

The Ol Ball-n-Chain Highy overlooked technique that will put bass in the boat when conditions are tough regardless of time of year.
  14. On lures, lines, reels, & rods everyone has their own personal repertoire of confusion that works for them. On fishing we've had EPIC discussions on Pre-spawn, spawn, post spawn. Water temperatures barometric pressure. Dog days of summer, night fishing, new moon vs full moon, Fishing matted grass. Fall is a little bit of everything. Winter, slow down & down size or not. Structure fishing of every kind. Yeah I kinda like Bassresource!
  15. We have stepped on each other's toes, bumped elbows, & bruises egos but at the end of the day we respected each other.
  16. Boogerman Buzzbait creates a loud clacking noise by forcing the blade to make contact with the head on every rotation.
  17. Watch the whole video
  18. @Mobasser Those are Z-Man, they mare a lot more than just plastics.
  19. Fishing your strengths means finding areas that fit the techniques you're best at. If you’re good at shallow water then fish shallow. This doesn't mean one should never learn new techniques or ares. 54 yrs on Toledo Bend I still spend a few hours graphing. But after awhile I wanna stick something! You'll never learn a body if you ain't catching.
  20. I agree with @Born 2 fish don’t get locked in on one brand. Always consider the dealership your buying from.
  21. Personal I would go with the 18' & trick it out with better electronics. If it's to rough for an 18' I can promise this Coonass ain't gonna be on the water. If you were going to fish LSC full time then I would go with a bigger rig.
