  5. So you would give up a 12.5#?
  6. Still nuthin 😥
  7. Treble hooks around wood will result in hang-ups, learn to go get em, learn how to use a plug knocker, & accept the fact you will lose some. My PB is 12 5#, it was caught with a Trap, on the front hook y'all wanna cut off.

  9. I do the same thing shallow or deep.
  10. Scratch the docks & all the rest can be located offshore. Offshore simply means not within casting distance of the bank.
  11. One thing that needs clarification is water depth. Are we talking shallow water cover only? What about natural brush, Man-made brush piles, timber, or vegation 20'+ below the surface? How do y'all approach offshore structures with no cover?
  12. I start at casting distance away, then move up to pitching distance away, & then finally move up to flipping distance. Once I establish where they're holding, then I'll move to that distance.
  13. The average angler doesn't spend anywhere near the hours on the water. Increasing the number of hours you spend on the water will greatly change your results. Last I read there's 30 million bass anglers in America. The percentage of tournament anglers & anglers with FFS is tiny. The rest of those anglers drive the market, not a bunch of "influencers".
  14. He ain't the first to accomplish that feat. I just don't care one way or the other. I've fished with FFS, I've fished without FFS, & will continue to do so. If it's in you boat & you invite me along...cool! If it's not in your boat & you invite me along...cool!
  15. Depends on what app you're using
  16. I don't understand the issue? If you wanna use FFS, use it! If you don't wanna use FFS, don't! There's still plenty tournaments without it, there's still plenty DD's caught without it. From now until April there will be 10s of thousands of boats on our waters. I feel safe saying 90% will not have FFS. Guess what? Bass will still be caught!
  17. Not on the $400 Dick's Sporting Goods special. You do know you can use your phone?
  18. It's like fishing crankbaits around wood. Ya gonna get hung, ya gonna lose some, it's part of the game. The reward is worth the risk!
  19. Kayak! Been there. .Done that..in a bass boat, jon boat, bay boat, 70' offshore boat. And yes I've done it the woods walking!

  21. Merry Christmas Y'all 🎅
  22. Fairly popular in our marshes & swamps. I prefer Humdinger
  23. Long before ripping a Rat-L-Trap out of grass became popular it was & still is ricocheting em off wood.
  24. Sometimes changing just for the sake "change" ain't the right choice.
