  1. Kinda forgot Roboworm and Lake Fork. I use the 6" straight tails from Robo and the small LFT Magic shad a lot for drop shotting. I still need to try out the larger Magic Shads for swimbaits.
  2. Primarily GYCB, Zoom, Strike King, Gambler, and Reaction Innovations. I've got other brands sitting here also, but not nearly in the same quantities.
  3. At 120 bucks, it's kind of hard to beat a Citica.
  4. The leader material is generally a little "harder." It's much stiffer than a standard mainline fluoro. Better abrasion resistance like Francho mentioned. It is a bit on the pricey side though. I personally haven't had any issues using standard mainline fluorocarbon for my leaders. Ignore the uni-uni splice. Learn how to tie the Albright and the Alberto (modified albright). Both of them are much more compact, they protect the fluoro portion of the knot, and are stronger. Takes very little time to tie one once you get the hang of it.
  5. Congrats, Nate!
  6. Hope you stick a few good ones. I've been itching to get back out again. Hopefully sometime tomorrow afternoon for a little while at least.
  7. I would have loved it even more if that ********* didn't win the thousand bucks. How awesome would that have been if he got goose egged, knocked the hell out, and then told the scrawny kid that hopes he learned a good lesson.
  8. Oh man. That was fantastic.
  9. I love how he called himself the "perfect specimen." Dude hasn't looked in a mirror with his shirt off lately I guess.
  10. "Apparently, you are a big enough ********* to get into my cage. Congrats!" lol
  11. Never thrown one. I've been really interested in trying out the Grass Minnow. That thing looks pretty neat. The guy in the video is right up your alley. Loomis rod and a Shimano reel. Video of it on Okeechobee: TW Link: http://www.***.com/Huddleston_Weedless_Grass_Minnow_375/descpage-HGM.html
  12. Thanks guys. Really appreciate all the well wishes. Kinda sucks coming home right now and for the first time in 14 years not having my dog waiting for me at the door. My daughters are sleeping with pictures of her right now. Aint a fun time for them at all. Thankfully time heals. It'll get better soon.
  13. Unreal. Heres to hoping each and every one of them get caught and punished severely.
  14. Strike King fan page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Strike-King-Lure-Company/144804146029
  15. Great fish, Dale. Those are some healthy fish right there.
  16. For braid to lure, a Palomar or Double Palomar will suit you just fine. For braid to leader, Albright or Alberto. Learn how to tie them. Far stronger knot than the uni-uni splice. Both of them are much more compact as well.
  17. My dog finally passed on. She was a good tough old girl. Going to miss her immensely. My kids aren't exactly taking this one well at all right now. Hopefully that'll pass soon. Gonna miss you, Mandy. I bet theres lots of biscuits for you up there in Heaven.
  18. Yeah, man. I just got back from my business trip and went to Lox this morning for a couple hours (I had a 12:00 appt). Tied into a couple beasts today. Good frog bite today until about 8:30. After that it was swimbaits. No finesse required! Sounds like a good Florida day. Kind of surprised you were out there. It was raining here the entire day. Not fun.
  19. Mike, you let me know when and I'm there. We need to get back out and catch a few more of those giants similar to that beast we found at Lox.
  20. You need to qualify through the Opens to get invited into the Elites. Then theres the matter of footing the bill to compete. The point system will still be employed to determine Bassmaster Elite Series qualifications. The top five pros in each Open division will automatically receive an invitation to move up to the Elite Series. No idea about the FLW's.
  21. Just remember, the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask.
  22. The name you're looking for is Flick Shake. Don't take my google link as offensive. Don't mean it that way at all. http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&safe=off&q=Flick+Shake&aq=f&aqi=g5&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&fp=9aaa2fb2b42893d8 I use it a lot on the steep drop offs here in my lake. Works great. You can use almost any soft plastic worm you want. I prefer worms that are straight as opposed to a worm with a curly tail or something.
  23. Those are my picks. Would make for a heck of a Super Bowl game.
