i often use soft jerkbaits in the same shallow cover that i would flip in. cast past the cover. when you get to that sweet spot in the cover just kill it and let it sink to the bottom (if it gets there) amd just barely twitch it until your out of the zone.

hahah yes. that just got stuck from my tying desk. its not meant to be on there. and i melted the two together with a butter knife. and then used a needle to thread all of the skirt strands thru the body.. it can be rigged keel wighted , tx rigged, jig head, punching style, ect. on an EWG hook
