  1. Alright, been drinkin' a lot........... of coffee: Cart7: Your avatar is ridiculous. I like it. Same illness as Jimzee RW: You should have posted the Ann-Margret pic, what is wrong with you? Just Dayum! Long Mike: My gammur iz vury good. Off for more coffee............. If I failed to offend anyone else, sorry, I will try again next time.
  2. RW, pics or it didn't happen!
  3. I've taken a few jabs in the past, but once I adjusted my caffeine intake, I'm ok. Haven't notice much negativity. x2.
  4. Catt, I agree completely. To me, there is a difference between really cheap gear, i.e. gear not worth buying and inexpensive, but quality rods and reels. I have lower end stuff, but it all works well & catches fish. I need no more. Often we have a problem defining need & want. I'd love a Zillion or a Calcutta 100 GTE, but I'm too cheap and I don't need it.
  5. LMB + Gar + Piranha = Me finding new hobby.
  6. Dodgeguy is right about aluminum frames not flexing, and an aluminum frame reel probably will last longer. That said, a number of guys (including myself) use graphite framed reels (I have a Trion-great reel), and unless you snag a monster cat or a 24lb striper, you won't have a problem. I know Muddy & SirSnookAlot have caught larger fish than me and they haven't had issues with these types of reels. A Trion is a fine choice for your first real 'reel' and you can upgrade later.
  7. If someone has a chain saw, I got the BBQ ready!
  8. RW, thanks bud, appreciate it.
  9. Brent, as a long suffering Browns fan, I know a little about a lot of the players. Stallworth is alleged to have a history of driving drunk. I don't know if that's true, it is only what I've read. That aside, he killed someone by virtue of drinking (thus impairing his judgement), then driving. Granted, an accident, but a crime nonetheless. 30 days? To me that's about 14 years & 11 months too short.
  10. My first choice from those three? The Cardinal. Ridiculously overbuilt & smooth. Second, the Sahara, a sweet reel.
  11. RW, you don't owe an explanation nor an apology. Just ticked from the post & I probably took it the wrong way. If I came off sounding harsh, please excuse the harshness, BD today & getting much older & for some reason, less tolerant. I like everyone here (even the shimano guys). Mitch
  12. Hey, Glenn, feel free to delete my post, and if you do, please delete me as a member as well. Some here (names won't be disclosed, but one is a mod) reflect the idea that getting out of jury duty is fine or some are bothered by it. Well, what is the justice system for? Our justice system currently is quite dysfunctional and favors those with sufficient dollars to buy they're way OUT of the justice system. Is that what you want? When, as an American citizen, do you feel your duty to participate in this 'justice system' begins and ends? Would you prefer to move to china? No problem with jury duty there. On being found guilty, you're shot in the back of the head. Sound good? Bottom line is if you don't wish to participate in jury duty, don't participate in remaining an America Citizen. Yes, it is a pain in the butt, yes, it can affect your finances, but if you want a judicial system that you participate in where YOU have a say in what happens and if someone is guilty or innocent by virtue of the evidence presented, you need to perform your CIVIC DUTY. Better think about it...... China's waiting.
  13. Hey, I still eat s**t.................. oh, wait, that's the wife's cooking, never mind.
  14. RW, they only had 3 of the 2500 series, and I picked out what I thought was the smoothest. I still disagree, the improvements they've made are not that big a deal. Wasn't worth the extra $$$. Played with a Sahara, and it was by far, much smoother so I may go with that.
  15. I never had an issue with the bail on the FI. And I had a new 2500 FJ, returned it, as the 'improvements', to me, weren't sufficient for the price, and wasn't as smooth as one would might expect. My FI is more than sufficient and ridiculously smooth. The Sahara is still the better deal.
  16. IF you are going to go the Cig Lighter route, don't forget to dab on some lighter fluid first. Works every time.
  17. Wow! I totally 100% disagree. I recommend either watching the flea market here, or continually checking with ebay. You might want to check out the Sahara, nearly identical to the older FI and is $79.
  18. Ok, it's the Finesse 4-3/4 according to their website, except they don't list this particular color (004-256). Says its 'Limited Edition' on the bag, but well....... who knows.
  19. Actually, it probably is the color, as I'm not that familiar with what color alabama craw is. Don't think it's a meathead though, really looks like a small senko. I'm trying them out this weekend, we'll find out what they do. Thanks for the help.
  20. I'm at Dicks (looking for an excuse to spend $), and picked up a pack of Zoom Alabama Craws - except they are not a craw, but look like a skinny senko knockoff. I had never seen or heard of them befor, sort of neat looking, kind of a putty color with black spots. Anyone tried these? Thanks Mitch
  21. zebco 33 on an ugly stick. After all, oneill sez it is the most sensitive rod in the world.
  22. This coming from a booger picker............ Still, make your own cocktail sauce. It's too easy & much better.
  23. My old Trion GX7 is still going & still smooth, for what that's worth.
  24. Whew, was worried about that. Who's Perry? ;D
