  1. Got out with the boat today, Your right weber. Those grass beds of the boat ramp are not grass beds. They are extremely shallow sand bars with a little grass on top. Looked dead and completely unproductive. They looked so good from shore lol. I have not had a chance to get out to any other areas yet. My motor mount will arrive on Monday so I can finally get out and explore a bit. Need to find some actual aquatic vegetation! Muck, grass, sticks ect..
  2. I dont care how old you are or how many of you there are. If it were me running into them, which would never happen, I would be immediately apologizing and checking to see if everything was ok. These guys did not seem to be too concerned with anything. I would also understand if this was an accident such as foot on the pedal or something along those lines. Things happen and thats understandable but again, these guy did not look concerned with what they had done and I did not hear anything from them on the video. That attitude alone ticks me off and is un called for. Hitting someone parked in a kayak at low speed is also very uncalled for. You may let people get away with what ever they want but as they say, "If you keep doing things like that, one day you are going to mess with the wrong guy." I had neighbors that did their best with trying to tick me off. I calmly went to their door to talk to them about the noise and all I got was rudeness Fair enough. I did my best to have them evicted and in a month they were gone. You mess with the wrong person and thats what happens. People are going to be stupid and that fine, but just hope you dont be an idiot to the wrong person. This goes both ways.
  3. Pline Fluoroclear 10lb on my baitcaster for shore line soft plastics and flipping soft plastics, and 12lb Trilene XL on my other baitcaster for top waters and anything I am reeling back to the boat. But I change depending on conditions I am fishing. I am so far really digging the Pline Fluoroclear! Casts awesome, sensitive, and abrasion resistant. I still get stretch too which I like! I like so set the hook hard.
  4. It would have been go time. If anything was remotely scratched or broken, I want cash or we go in the parking lot. I dont understand how this guy is so cool about it.
  5. See thats my issue. I cant fit the floor in my car. I am going the have to make pieces somehow. Maybe just doing 3 pieces would be better and I was thinking about hinging them. That way they stay connected but I can fold them onto each other. The foam is a good idea also. Thanks for the feedback.
  6. I use Gamakatsu 4/0 Texas rigged weightless. I usually fish Zoom Ultravibe worms, trick worms, and brush hogs ALWAYS produce for me. If I am flipping then I use Eagle Claw weighted worm hook 4/0.
  7. Another FATTY from on shore. I will be getting my boat and trolling motor Friday so I can finally get off the shore. I will be doing up Champlain once a week as well. I will get in touch with you weber. I would like to know some good areas for bass close to me in Champlain.
  8. I am going to be picking up a Seahawk 4 this week and I want to put in some hard floors and carpet it. I drive a BMW coupe so I was thinking about cutting into 4 peices that way I could slide them into the trunk. Anybody have any input on this? How to measure and all that? Should I be ok with just the wood on the bottom? The less crap I have and less time it will take to get out of the car and in the water is a plus.
  9. Well I'm not off the shore yet, next week, but I finally found a little success! Nice healthy 2 1/2'lb'er! I am now positive there are some big bass here! I also hooked up on something BIG but my line busted! I was heart broken because it was seriously at least 6 pounds. Devastated. I used the same technic's, colors, and presentation as I did in Florida. Worked like a charm.
  10. Brush hogs, flukes, and ultra vibe worms. Watermelon, watermelon with red flake, pumpkin colors. Concentrate on the shoreline and concentrated patches of grass, pads, and muck. Top water frogs work in early morning and evening along with spring time. Big brush hogs in watermelon are my canal killers. Throw em to the shore line and slow roll em back... WHACK!
  11. Thanks for the input. I cant wait to get out on the lake and work em' this summer.
  12. I grew up in Florida my entire life. 28 years. So I am in Vermont till the end of the summer. I live right on Lake Arrowhead here in Vermont and this place HAS to hold tons of bass. There are tons of grass beds. I have tried fishing from shore a little with no luck at all but I am going to be picking up a nice inflatable fishing boat next week and I am going after em! Question being: - Should I approach this the same as Florida? Like fishing grass beds, sunken cover, and drop offs? - What baits work well with the spring and summer seasons? Jigs, senko's, top waters, trick worms, spinner baits, brush hogs? Should I just approach it like I did in Florida? Here are some pics of the areas I am thinking of fishing http://4.bp.blogspot...00/IMG_7248.JPG http://farm3.static...._0e62217076.jpg http://activerain.co...87485715611.JPG http://www.flickr.co...05481/lightbox/
  13. I have only lost 2 big ones. One in pads and when I set the hook, she was on for about 3 seconds then came off. nother had to be like 15lbs. I was using a jig, line got tight and started drifting, when I set the hook it was dead weight... heavy... then the line popped. I was like "hooooolyyyyy s********t! I loose small ones way more often than big ones.
  14. Looked great man. Cherish the times.
  15. 14 for me... 23 total between me and one other fisherman. We were out for 6 1/2 hours. 12 pack of Coors Light and lots of beef jerky. Fun day. Oh... and the website looks GREAT! I havnt been on in like 2 years!
  16. I don't understand! All kinds of win.
  17. Ya... ide also like to see a guy like me compete on a big tour event. I guarentee I would do well. I consider myself a pro. Just not sponsored. Been fishing for 20 years. Bass fishing mostly as well. These pros are great fisherman period tho. Very experienced and educated. I bet they'ed smoke me most of the time.
  18. I actually aquired a very nice brand new crank bait. bout a 4 lber with a brand spankin new crank in its throat. Put the bait in my box and the fish healthy and back into the water.
  19. I would die to trip at your lake. Unbelievable day for sure.
  20. Went out today. Hot day. 90. Light breeze. Caught 2 little guys and something big. I was using a floating crank bait to try to search out some bass. Felt the strike, set the hook and I was stoked. The thing felt like 6 or 7 lbs. Pulled it up to the shore and to my suprise it was 7 lbs!!! 7lbs of pure yellow bellied slider. : I thought I had a champ. Dam turtles. Noticed more massive grass carp. Still nothing over 2 lbs. Getting a bit disapointed. I will continue to try. :-/
  21. Got em son. That's a good fish bro. Whatup Vince!
  22. Official.
  23. Big Anacondas and Jigs. Do it. It will be game over. Find that sunken cover and fish jigs in it. It will take a trip or two to get jiggin down but it's well worth it. And trow big soft plastics like anacondas and big brush hogs. Also find "tight" cover. Like a small little area with very tight heavy weeds or pads and run plastics on the edges and throw a jig down in it. Like this...
  24. Get that reel outta the DIRT MISTER! Nice fish there...
  25. Well, found out sumore styff this evening. There are BIG Grass Carp in here, and saw Tilapia bedding as well. There is deffinatley alot of fish population in here. Not sure is that is good for big bass or not. Pics of my day. Big ole dead grass carp. Turtles were tearing him up. This is what the bass I catch look like. All dinks all the same size. They look healthy to me.... I did catch something a bit bigger tonight. Right before dark on a buzzbait. No pics be he was about 1 1/2 or 2 lbs. Still trying to dial things in...
