  1. Use a 5" GY senko on a spinning set up and you should be able to get some decent distance.
  2. Throw a wacky rigged senko where you think there might be fish and see what bites.
  3. Love it especially on spinning reels. Silver Thread is the absolute best. Silver Thread AN40 was developed with the stealth approach in mind. Designed with an incredibly small diameter, this line can really cover the distance. The AN40 formula is very limp and supple. If you require long casts and low underwater visibility to get close to the fish, look no further than AN40. This is my favorite but I also use Excalibur occasionally. http://www.silverthread.com/AN40.htm
  4. I come through the gills with needle nose pliers. Works very well. In probably 95% of the time I've had no blood or tissue come loose. Don't rip the hook rather gently twist it or rotate it out of the throat tissue. Then once it is loose it pops right out the mouth. Here is a video showing how this works from the Texas Parks and Wildlife.
  5. 20 lb Power Pro to 8 lb Invizix leader. I use it with a Falcon Shaky Head Specail spinning rod. LFS-4-1610. Shaky Head Special - Since Shaky Head jigs are increasingly popular because of their effectiveness, Falcon designed this rod with a light tip to handle finesse baits and light line but enough backbone to set the hook. Very sensitive. I like the Fluoro leader for its invisibility and no stretch.
  6. I like mono so it floats off the bottom.
  7. 12 lb seagur Invizix does it for me on 4 baitcasters. I also have 2 with 30 lb power pro, 12 lb mono backing and 12 lb Invizix leader. Only time I get backlash is when I forget to adjust the reels when I change baits or weights.
  8. I like to use a fluoro leader especially in clear water. I'm of the opinion fluoro is invisible while braid is not. Fishing a Trig takes patience. Drag it some then let it sit. Give it a slight twitch let it sit then drag it again. Watch your line and if you feel a couple of bumps, set the hook.
  9. I have a Daiwa Aird 2500. Very smooth and never had line twist. The spare reel comes in handy. I have the main one spooled with braid and the spare one with copolymer.
  10. Hag's Tornado worm floats for a long time. It's also the best shaky head worm I've used. TW has them.
  11. I use a Senko with and O Ring for wacky fishing. After about 4 fish and 10 casts, the dark colors like Watermelon Black Red start to turn a lighter color in the middle. This could be due to tension or salt loss. They also lose their tension and become real floppy at the ends. The question is this... What makes you replace your senko or change the color?
  12. This rod feels like a Med. Not as stiff as a lot of MH rods I've tried. If you want a true Medium rod try this one. I love falcon rods. Falcon LowRider XG Cast 7' Medium
  13. All around rod for topwaters, TX rigs, cranks...Falcon LowRider Split-Grip Cast 6'8" MH AOY
  14. Seagur Invizix- flurocarbon Power Pro- Braid Silver Thread AN 40- Copolymer http://www.silverthread.com/AN40.htm Don't use mono that often but have one set up with Trilene XL
  15. About 3/4 mono backing and 20 lb power pro
  16. I use the H2O Express Magnum worm bag since I fish mostly plastics. There is room on the side for 2 small Plano boxes for terminal tackle and small crankbaits. Academy Sports sells it and you can order over the Web. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-magnum-worm-binder/pid-516652?color=Blue&N=272574547
  17. Berkley 3" chigger craw in green pumpkin
  18. 1. They catch fish. 2. They catch big fish. 3. They catch a lot of big fish.
  19. 4" Berkley chigger craw in Green Pumpkin
  20. http://www.***.com/Wacky_Rigging_Tool/descpage-WACKRIG.html I use the wacky rigging tool from TW. Rings are real cheap. The screw can be adjusted so when you put the worm in and slide the ring off it goes on at the right spot. You can also store rings on the screw to be available to slide on. I've used this for several years and I know the rings prolong the life of worms, especially GY senkos. Don't think I've lost a fish due tot the rings.
