  1. If you are going to get a BPS reel, go with the Pro Qualifier.
  2. I have astigmatism and wear graduated bifocals. Contacts don't do it for me. I bought a pair of Maui Jim's at my local eyeglass store and they were able to fit my prescription into polarized lenses into them and they are definitely polarized. It's expensive which is why I always have Croakies attached so they don't fall off.
  3. Texas rig a baby brush hog...seems to work for me until the heat dissipates the leaves and then you can use a jig
  4. I'm with you on this. Trick worms, hags tornadoes, zoom shakey head, etc. on buckeye spot removers; baby brush hogs, senkos, rage tail lobster, u-tail worms, etc. on weighted TX rig.
  5. Cinnamon purple flake chigger craw PB&J Yum craw pappy
  6. Silver Thread AN40-- tough line, very limp, knots easy and casts a mile.
  7. Mepps gold blade brown dressed treble hook
  8. Baitcaster St. Croix Avid 7' M Fast 1/4-3-8 Tatula 7.3:1 10 lb Invizix Spinning Falcon Original 7' M 1/4-1/2 Shimano Sahara 8lb Excalibur super sliver thread
  9. Owner hooks, especially their wacky hook
  10. I have a daiwa Aird spinning reel that has helped me land some bass at 5-6 lbs. You get many of the same features as Daiwa's top end reels ( 10 ball bearings and it is Smooth) at an affordable price. I'd rather put my money into baitcasters. You get an extra spool so I have one spooled with copolymer and the other with braid. I've never had a line twist problem with this reel.
  11. Watermelon black red 5" senko
  12. After buying all the watermelon red baby brush hogs @25% off at Academy.
  13. 7'0 carbonlite on sale thru Sat. Great sensitivity and can pull the biggies out.
  14. I use an owner wacky hook with no weed guard 1/0 and have not lost a fish once it takes the worm.
  15. Traded in an Ugly Stick I used for saltwater when I lived in FL.and got the Carbonlite 6'6" MF. I have 2 CL baitcasters and 2 spinners. Both are very light, durable, and sensitive. Got them all at past BPS fishing classics. They have caught a lot of fish for me!
  16. 1. 5" GY Senko watermelon/black/red 2. Baby Brush Hog watermelon orange 3. Storm Rattlin' Chug Bug black/red 4. 3/8 oz Siebert big O brush jig Halloween color 5. Megabass Ito 110 GP Pro Blue
  17. Falcon Lowrider LFS-4-161 Spinning rod designed for Shaky Head fishing. It's a 6'10" Med Fast. Works real good.
  18. Check out the reviews on TW.
  19. Hag's Tornado....stands straight up and has a lot of wiggle action. I like the 5" in watermelon red ( of course).
  20. Fishing senkos is a sure way to catch fish if they are there. I prefer wacky rigged with an O ring and an owner 1/0 hook with no weed guard. When you fish a wacky Senko you need to be a line watcher. A lot of times the fish will just start swimming away and you will feel nothing. Other times it will be a small tap tap. I also find a smooth horizontal sweep gets the hook set better than a violent vertical jerk as you would do with a jig or TX rig.
  21. Agree. 6 lb really good on spinning reels too.
  22. Yes, not the Super Fluke but the Fluke which has a flatter underside.
  23. Thinking about a rod to fish a Zoom Fluke, the one with the split tail. I fish it weightless. Thinking of a 6'9" ML fast Carbonlite spinning rod. This will be a good price with a trade in during the BPS sale. Any ideas? Is there another I should consider up to $125?
  24. Falcon LowRider XG Spin 6'10" Medium I love this rod for shaky heads. Specifically designed for the application by Falcon. Pair it with a Sahara and you are done. Might be a little over your budget but you'll never need another shaky head set up again. Also good for weightless wacky Senko fishing.
