  1. Right now, I'm using a Curado 50E and a Falcon T7 micro in finesse jig. This is an absolute joy to fish. I throw 3", 4" and 5" all weightless and either wacky or texas. I have a new setup that I'm gonna use. A Curado I and a Edge First Strike 693. Still waiting on the rod, it was the Kickstarter deal.
  2. We didn't get home until late last night. I go out to the front porch this morning and notice a box! Thanks Mr_Scrogg! He hooked me up with all kinds of stuff. GYCB senkos, RageTail, Cavitron, hooks, cranks..... It's a big list. I'll try to get pics up when I get in tonight. Scrogg, thanks again and Merry Christmas to all!
  3. You're welcome! This past year, I've caught fish on all of that. The Angler Ambush is poured by a local guy. That red worm has served me good this summer. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
  4. On sale where? I just bought some from TW but I haven't spooled it on yet. I have a new Edge rod on the way and a Curado I to put on it.
  5. OK, mine is headed towards Texas!
  6. Here are a couple of articles. Maybe they'll help. http://www.bassmaster.com/understanding-bass-forage-crawfish http://www.thefishsite.com/articles/832/crawfish-biology
  7. If you're on facebook, look at Paul Krew custom poured baits. He has some of the best plastics I've seen.
  8. I also fish one with no structure or cover other than the weeds around the edge. The weeds come out about 10' from the bank and the water is 2~3 feet deep. This is where they are. I throw a Zoom swimmin fluke just inside the weeds and then drag it out. As soon as the lure comes out of the weeds, I let it drop to the bottom and thats when the get it. Every time.
  9. https://store.baits.com/product.php?productid=160&cat=8&page=1 Call Yamamoto and see if it's the same.
  10. The exhaust port on a male is round. The exhaust port on a female is more oblong. But no sure fire way with just looking.
  11. They sell it on Yamamoto's site.
  12. I think that BASS could make more money selling those bags than they do on subscriptions.
  13. A couple of times a year, they combine issues. Like Sept/Oct was one issue.
  14. For me, accurate is +/- 1~2' on casting and +/- 6" on pitching and flipping.
  15. When I fished from the bank, I used 50lbs braid. When I got hung on something, I either drug it to the bank or straightened the hooks. I saved a lot of money with the braid.
  16. If it's a small pond, stealth is the best thing to have going for ya. After you get there, wait about 10 minutes before you start fishing. And when you do start fishing, make sure it's with a 4" wacky senko in watermellon magic.
  17. I've been learning for about 35 years now.
  18. I have this with Senkos. I think it is the "ploooop" sound it makes. Other plastics sound different and I don't get as many instant strikes. Put a Senko on, ploooooop, and set the hook.
  19. I have a 50E on a Falcon Cara Micro finesse jig and it is great. I got in on the kickstart deal with Edge Rods and got the 693, a medium power fast action. It was the rod that they recommended for senkos. I figured that I'd put the I on it and call it good.
  20. How does it handle light stuff? Say from 1/4 to maybe 5/8? I have one of these just sitting here, new in the box, and a Edge 693 rod on the way. Recon the Curado will do it? Thanks.
  21. I was experiencing the exact problem. After trying everything under the sun, my soloution was a bait caster.
  22. It seems like about 6" per second. You can watch your line and tell when it hits the bottom. Most of the time I'm not sure of the depth, so I just watch the line.
  23. 3lbs a year average sounds like a lot to me. Most articles I've read say about a pound per year is average.
  24. I have several around Oxford. Mostly old watersheds that are between 5 and 80 acres, all private.
