8" tiles on a table. It's the baby. I've always thrown a Slammer in place of a rat bait so I'm pretty excited to fish it.

Cork Grips
The cheaper the cork, the more pits it has. Pits require wood filler which eventually falls out.

Sun Protection Britches
I've got a few pair of Columbia pants and a few pair of North Face pants. I like the North Face pants more but they also cost about twice as much. The Columbia pants work fine and are affordable. I don't know the model names off the top of my head.

Yeah, I talked to him for about 20 minutes last week, super nice guy. This is my 2nd CL8 bait and I'm impressed by the quality and craftsmanship of their baits. I can't wait to fish this one. I hear he will make a cranking version upon request too.

Thinking About Doing Away With Braid
I use fluoro for 100% of my jig fishing. I have 17 lb on my regular jig rod and 20 lb on my heavy jig rod. My pitching rod that sees jigs also has 20 lb fluoro. My pitching rod with braid is reserved for soft plastics and heavy vegetation.

Brad's Wigglers
Hahaha, I guess you didn't.

Top Water Rod..
You certainly don't have to use braid. A good mono will work great. Most people like to use 30 lb or higher braid just because it works better with a baitcaster, not because of it's strength. One bad thing about braid and treble hooked, topwater baits is it will sometimes tangle with the hooks. I like to use a short mono leader to prevent that. My main topwater rod has braid on it but I have other rods with copoly that will sometimes see topwater baits.

Brad's Wigglers
What made the original WW's so great was their crappy, inconsistent construction. Brad's might have made a great bait but I doubt it's because of the same reason the original was great. Plus, out of every 10 originals, 1 might be great, 3 might be decent and the rest complete junk. To answer your question, I've never used Brad's Wiggler and don't know how they perform.

Gamakatsu Flipping Hook Problems
X2, I love Gammy's other hooks but prefer Trokar's flipping hooks.

Top Water Rod..
I use a 6'6" MF with 30 lb braid and a short copoly leader to prevent the hooks from fouling in the braid.

First Lure To Hit The Water
If I'm out at daylight it's usually a topwater of some kind. Either a Yellow Magic popper or a Gunfish. If the topwater bite is over I usually start with a sq bill. I also have a pitching bait and a jig ready to go.
