  1. I think they are just matching another online retailer's "Super Bowl Sale." The prices should be back to normal on Monday.
  2. I've gone back to tying the Palomar for just about everything. I will use a loop knot for certain topwaters though.

  4. The 705 is great but the 765 is THE BOMB!! I use a custom built on the Lamiglas blank used in the 765. It isn't too heavy, has plenty of sensitivity and flexes beautifully for big baits with a lot of drag. That extra 6" really allows you to bomb casts. I don't use it for shallow baits but it is perfect for deep baits.

    I like War Eagle spinnerbaits.
  6. Lucky Craft BDS 3 Zoom Wec E1
  7. I do this with all my reels that have perforated spools. I'm sure it isn't necessary unless you're using braid and you're worried about it slipping, but I still do it.

  9. My favorite lipless crank is the XCalibur XR50 One Knocker in the Foxy Momma and Pearl Melon colors. The Red Eye Shad is a great bait too.
  10. Yep, it's pretty easy to drop another couple hundred dollars into a reel for upgrades, some performance related, some cosmetic. Look through this thread for some examples. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/40660-show-off-your-stuff/
  11. Most of the time manufacturers set the retail price and dealers are required to sell products at that price. That's why when TW has a sale certain brands are excluded. I don't know what the penalty is for breaking that agreement with the manufacturer but the people on Ebay and Amazon clearly don't care.
  12. The Cane Thumper is a decent bait and I use it but it isn't "almost the same" as the Keitech, very different actually.
  13. This issue is the same as many others in life. People feel the need to put other people down because it makes them feel better about themselves. This especially holds true in matters concerning money. That's the where the term "hater" comes from.
  14. I agree. They still won't hurt your line though, unless they get damaged.
  15. The won't hurt your line unless they become damaged, which can be said about any guide.
  16. I carry a Glock 27 every day. I carry because people are crazy and you just never know.
  17. If I could only pick one it would be a Yellow Magic.
  18. For a general cranking line, I like 12 lb fluoro. I do sometimes use heavier line if I'm throwing sq bills in heavy cover or lighter line if I'm trying to get a bait as deep as possible. If I could only pick one though, it would be 12 lb fluoro.
  19. My income tax return will get here just in time
  20. Good for you Bob! I hope you enjoy the heck out of your new reel.
  21. Probably not the best pic to post unless that's on your property. lol
  22. They aren't as refined as Daiwa's higher end reels but they have many of the same features. They are solid reels at their regular price and are a steal at $45. Like camman said, they are on sale because a new model is out now.
  23. The rubber bobber stoppers work great.
  24. I'm not a big drop shotter but I like the Roboworm Alive Shad and the GY Shad Shape Worm when I do.
  25. I've used Otterbox's on all my phones and never had a cracked screen or any damage due to impact. The nice thing about the rubberized cover is it is very grippy, you are far less likely to drop the phone. I did lose a phone to water once though. Otterbox's are definitely not waterproof.
