Bass Pro Tour Live kick off
I've been watching on and off all day, it's been great for me through the app on my phone.

Swapping out crank bait treble hooks
I really feel like short shank hooks shine on smaller baits that come with smaller hooks and baits like square bills that you fish through cover. With big deep diving crankbaits I normally just use a normal shank hook, like the Owner ST 36 or Gamakatsu black nickel EWG hooks. Those baits already come with big hooks so I don't feel like upsizing makes that much difference. Just my opinion though.

Copolymer vs florocarbon
I use fluoro for most applications but it has more to do with sensitivity and the fact that it sinks than it's visibility, or lack thereof. I think in super clear, highly pressured waters that might play a factor but those conditions don't exist where I live. When I don't use fluoro I use copoly.

Big Swimbait question
They make weighted swimbait hooks in heavy weights but the hooks are all really large because swimbaits that need that much added weight are also really large. That is a small swimbait and would be pretty over-powered by 1/2 oz weight. I imagine you would have to fish it really fast to keep it off the bottom.

Swim Jig Heads - Calling on Experts
I also love those heads with the Big Hammer Tails but I've never used tails that big. The tails are made to go on a jig head but I'm sure they would work on a weighted hook but I've never used them that way. They are also great on Warbait swim jigs.

God I love Pflueger but...
I don't think Pure Fishing offers sponsorships for any of their lower tier brands anymore. Everything is focused on Abu Garcia and Berkley. They used to but Ott Defoe is the last person I can think of.

Comfy bass shoes?
Nike Air Max for bank and boat and Columbia Power Drain for kayak.

Crankbait Rod
I don't have experience with the Mojo Glass rods but glass in general is a lot of fun to fish and that rod should be pretty versatile.

Mid diving crankbaits
You know they still sale new Wiggle Warts for like $5? Other similar sized baits I like are: Spro RK Crawler 55 Ima Pin Jack 200 Lucky Craft Moonsault 250 Spro Fat Papa 55 Rapala DT 10 Megabass SM-X Spriggan

Swapping out crank bait treble hooks
VMC and a few other companies makes them. Go to TW and look at their treble hooks, they all say what they are.

Swapping out crank bait treble hooks
If you want regular trebles I like the Owner ST 36's, if you want a short shank I like Gamakatsu Short Shank, Round Bend, Magic Eye trebles. As someone else mentioned, with short shank hooks go up a size, so I would go with a 1 on 6XD or a 2 in a regular size treble.

Fantasy Fishing 2019 - Official Thread
This year it's going to be hard to even do research, so many new faces who don't have pro experience on any of these bodies of water. Add to that FLW doesn't fish many of the same lakes as BASS, the remaining Elite guys are the only ones with much history to research. Should be a fun year!

I'm in! I knew there would be a lot of unfamiliar names but it really stands out looking through the roster here.

New '19 steez ct tws
Yeah, if Digitaka has it for $470 it will be $550-$600 here most likely.

H2O baits
The hard baits are great. I haven't used any of the spinnerbaits, frogs or jigs but the crankbaits are really good for the money. I've had good luck with the various sized square bills, mid depth divers, lipless baits, poppers and walking baits. I haven't used any of the deep divers. The paint jobs are good and the baits I've used run true. I do change out the hooks though.

I've heard this reel is going to retail for around $700 in the states! Not sure if that is true or not though. I will be a player on the Alphas CT.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
It wouldn't have been nearly as risky as what ended up happening. Again, I had no dog in either game but that was so blatant a PI at a critical point in the game, they have to make that call.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
No, if they would have called the pass interference, the Saints would have had 1st down at the 6 with 1:45 left. I think the Rams had 1 time out. They could have run all of the time off the clock and kicked the field goal to take the lead leaving the Rams with no time to try to tie it up. Definitely changed the outcome of the game. The NFL has already admitted as much.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
Lol, of course I know it's not a real pic. I'm not a Saints fan but I thought the pic was funny. If I were a Saints fan, I'd be pretty upset today. I don't normally complain about officiating, they always miss some calls, but that was really bad and changed the outcome of the game.

What color are your soft plastics?
I use whatever colors I think best fit a specific situation. I probably use green pumpkin or some green pumpkin variant more than anything else, doesn't matter what bait.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
- Anyone tried KVD's Line & Lure Conditioner?
I find it most useful with non-braided lines that have been sitting on a reel for a while without being used. It helps deal with the initial memory that comes with lines being tightly wrapped on a reel spool. If it's fresh line that you just spooled up, memory shouldn't be that bad to begin with so I don't know how much difference it will make. - Anyone tried KVD's Line & Lure Conditioner?
