What’s everyone’s using to share photos to the forum? I have a Flicker account but there’s been lots of changes and I don’t really care for it.

Hello everyone, from Missouri!
Welcome! We visited Branson this year and fell in love with the region and part of the country. Enjoy your angling journey.

What size reel should I pair with this rod?
For btone or anyone else that prefers a heavier power spinning rod, I have a nice one listed in the flea market at a deep discount.

New Team Lew’s Pro SP
In other scenarios this line of thinking is referred to as “girl math”. I of course denounce such stereotypes personally.

What size reel should I pair with this rod?
My choice would be a 3000 backed with mono and topped with 75 yds of 30# braid. If you really want to stick with mono/fluoro I’d up to a 4000 with a limp, treated line. Going up in size is more about arbor size than line capacity.

I want to learn to skip with a baitcaster
Pulling off enough line for a cast and taping down the spool will keep the inevitable backlash from going too deep

Daiwa TD Zillion & Cousin Collection
That’s an awesome collection. These, the Core and E series Shimano’s are my all time favorites.

Where did the old timers go?
Couldn’t have said it better. I’m a sponsor but would be here regardless. Great community especially considering the trash you can encounter online.

Current setup for the spring
Step up to a MH/F, arguably the most versatile baitcaster rod available. Tie a jig on the MH, a jerkbait on the med/XF and a hair jig or ned on the UL.

Assumptions
Toray is just a carbon fiber/graphite supply company. They’re a trusted source but not the magic blank makers would have you believe.

Where do SM position themselves in rivers?
When fishing below a current break you’ll find fish further back than you might think.

Why Wear a Life Jacket?
Funny right after I posted that I came across a FB reel of that exact scenario. Stay safe
-
Why Wear a Life Jacket?
I wear an inflatable pfd 100% of the time on the water running or not. I feel more likely to fall overboard moving from deck to deck, running the TM, bucking wakes and waves etc.

!What’s your absolutely favorite high end flipping stick ?
Yes any advertised wt should be with a qualifying statement

'24 Metanium DC 70
Gears and DC braking or any brake system for that matter are unrelated.
-
!What’s your absolutely favorite high end flipping stick ?
Could be because the specs on blanks are nominal and there’s a tolerance window.

!What’s your absolutely favorite high end flipping stick ?
7’6” and up give you better reach when actually Flipping and they move a lot of line on the hookset. You can get a hook in them and moving up before they bury themselves. Extra important when punching the slop.

Rod components 101
I agree with you and know where you’re coming from. Builders need to keep in mind all the variables that affect the finished rod. I’ve seen high end blanks killed with poor execution.
