  3. I went out this morning from 6-9 and did fairly well throwing a Stanley ribbit. Landed 8 but had another 3 short strike and rip the legs off and a bunch of chasers. They all were in less than 5 foot of water and in lilypads.
  4. What did you catch him on?
  5. i would think it would work great. you may have to use a heavier weight than normal depending on the current.
  6. That's was unreal. That deer got launched.
  7. They all look great!
  8. Not sure how much can be said without getting in trouble?
  9. I think most of them sell there baits. Just P.M. Someone if you like there baits. I just ordered some from fishwhitler (not sure if I spelled that correctly)

Me and my friends use wheaties soaked in strawberry soda and make bread balls out of it. I recently bought some carp bait that came in a tub and it smelled very similar to our wheatie strawberry soda mixture. We use treble hooks and have had better luck than single hooks.
  14. Nice! I've never even held one but I'm in the market for another rod may have to go check one out. Thanks.
  15. That is one incredible creation you got there!!!!!
  16. Any place that's a good ambush point in medium water next to deep water. Any shad or baitfish imitator should work well also craws patterns (rage craw) work well for me.
  17. I like to peg in thick weeds and around submerged branches. I will unpeg in open waters also in open water if I want a little noise I put a glass bead between weight and hook. Then again I've seen people peg all the time. I guess you do what you feel comfortable doing.
  18. I've notice that in my local ponds when the late summer/ early fall temps start to drop the fishing shuts down. After a few weeks give or take of the cool temps the fish turn back on. I think the just need to acclimate to the new water temps. During the shutdown most of the fish around here head for the deep water where there is some warm water still. I like to throw some deep cranks, jigs, or weighted soft plastics.
  19. Up here the temps have been lowered for a few weeks now averaging 70's. I think once there on the drop cold fronts don't make nearly as much of a difference to the fish unless its severe. I like a nice crank/fluke.
  20. Great pics! Those will definately stand out in the year book. How do you like them Skeet rods?
  21. Had me thinking too. GOOD STUFF ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  22. All depends on what you can spend. I have a Dobynns champion series flippin stick 7'6" heavy paired with a revo stx 7.1:1. But like you said if you dont have any heavy cover were your fishing than you prob dont need it most of the places i fish are full of weeds.
  23. You may want to look at getting a Mh-H rod. Never know if your gonna have to through into heavy cover/slop. I've pulled some of my bigger fish out of heavy cover.
  24. Be confident. It goes along way in life. It even comes into play while fishing!!!!!! goodluck
