Awesome looking baits. Do the skins hold up better than painted baits? or about the same?
  2. Agreed. And i don't think you could get advice from a better place.
  3. I agree especially in heavy weeds if you start landing fish your gonna be pulling some slop back with them. Just the nature of the beast.
  4. I like throwing topwaters in the fall. Wakebates especially always seem to do good on them even when the water is in the 50's and slightly below. I usually will slow them down though and throw a few pauses in there. I don't throw a ton of buzzbaits but i would say the same would apply try and find a nice steady slow speed just enough to keep it on top. It will probably help cut down on some of the short strikes.
  5. Peg the weight if its already pegged go heavier. If your saying your already fishing a 3oz you shouldnt have that much of a problem getting through weeds. Also try a flippin weight they tend to get through thick weeds better due to its shape.
  6. Congrats on the Fame. Dont let it go to your head
  7. I have a Donynns 766 flippin stick champion series paired with a Revo Stx. I use 50lb fireline braid. Its mainly used flippin and for frogs over heavy vegetation but I also through deep cranks on it occasionally. Great combo IMO.
  8. I agree with raul. You can definately catch them after heavy rains but they do tend to scatter with the rise of water levels. But you did say the water has already dropped so they may be right back were they where pre rain.

  10. Awesome song. Don't hear it to much on the radio.

Thanks for the help guys. Guess I'm gonna look into a mask as well. Especially if I can get one for 35 bucks.
  12. Wow. That song pretty much sums up how i feel about celebrities. Can't stand listening to them cry and get awards for doing a job they get paid millions to do. I do my job well everyday wheres my frickin award????
  13. ;D Either way gotta love the little guys determination.
  14. If neither of the above ideas work and i would definitely try them first. Try throwing something that looks like the primary forage. Get a perch colored crank or jerkbait.
  15. Cranks,Flukes,Jigs, and this year i'm gonna try a soft plastic swimbait. If the lake has boulders or something that collects and holds heat i'll hit that first.
  16. ABSOLUTELY between us guys! I decided that because i resisted temptation i should reward myself. Tackle Warehouse here i come 8-) ;D :) :)

I would probably be doing it in the garage. Only thing is its not going to be well vented unless i leave the door open but in the winter it will be cold in there and that cant be good for pouring plastics even if i get a space heater i dont think it would be warm enough. ahhh. Guess i'll have to figure something out.

Didn't see anything about this yet but my wife brought it up figured i'd ask. how toxic if at all are the fumes produced from the melting plastic? I've been watching some videos and I didn't see one person wearing a mask or anything. I'm sure were there doing it its probably well vented.
  19. Nice looking baits. good job
  20. I really like those owner hooks. I have them in weedless also. Size all depends on what worm your using. I fish a 5in senko on a 2/0 but a 3in on a #1-#2.
  21. None I know of here. But from the way the show depicted them there growing rapidly.
  22. Downsize, fish slow, deep waters, I also like dark colors not a lot of flash.
  23. I believe it. Texting is illegal in RI I thinks it a 80 fine first offense then 100 and something 2nd. I use to see people driving with there phone up on the wheel so they could look to the side and see the road. Now they have there heads down at the floor looking at the phone. Its unreal.
  24. Alberto is a good knot. Always moisten knot before cinching. 6 foot leader should be plenty.
