  1. I thought about using snaps but not sure how I feel about them. I love the fact that you can clip a new bait on in seconds not that tying a knot takes that long. I'm just not sure how I feel about having more places of possible failure (knot and snap). I know its only one more place but one more thing to worry about.
  2. I recently started using the Rapala Knot on my cranks. I have no complaints so far but haven't been using it long anyone have any experience with it good, bad or a different knot altogether?
  3. I use a Revo Stx and love it.
  4. K. I'll give it a try.
  5. Nice looking pup indeed! Good luck with him.
  6. Ya i'm gonna bread it with some butter an lemon wrap in tinfoil and throw it on the grill. Anyone got any other suggestions i got enough for a few meals.
  7. I stick with the same rod. Only because I fish both frogs near or on heavy cover. The hollow body i throw in heavier slop but rage toads i'll fish over thin vegetation and along heavy slop. So even though i fish the rage toads over lighter stuff i still use a heavy rod because the thick stuff is just beside it and I like to be able to pull them away if the held for it.
  8. Buckeye spot removers pro model. I"ve had good luck with them. Never had a problem with a fish coming unpinned.
  9. x2 i use 7/0 as well. I think its a great size for the size of plastic.
  10. If 25 is your spending limit you could get a nice used truck or a new one depending on the package. I have an F-350 that I got with 28k miles in 05 for 18 new it was like 24-25. But it was your basic truck. Radio now tape or CD player gas not diesel cloth not leather your basic work truck. Its great for what I need it for It gets about 10 miles per gallon city but I have a lot of heavy equipment and weight in the truck bed. Empty truck upwards of 18mpg
  11. I would have to say something weightless is your best bet to stay out of the scum. But if you really need weight go as light as possible and use tungsten they have a smaller profile than lead. You could try a craw pattern crank just make sure it shallow enough to stay above the scum. If not it will dig a ton into that junk.
  12. That first ones a nice chunk looks like it just had Thanksgiving dinner!
  13. Definately a good end to your season. As far as that broken lip I've been told by a few people and also read that you could break there jaw by lipping them. But,it really only could happen if there flipped horizontally and not supported correctly. So in essence all the basses weight is were your lipping him. That's why a lot of guys will support bigger fish under there tail when there horizontal.
  14. Ya that crappie pattern is very nice.
  15. That would be enough to scare me into not taking it. Even though it was prescribed by a Dr lets face it even they can be wrong.
  16. That's one trigger happy fella. I would think a machete would be a better safer choice.
