  1. I would guess that puts him #1 in the fan club!
  2. Normally Tru Tungsten. If they go out of bizz I'll probably try Eco Pro or strike kings line both insert free.
  3. Awesome job! Those are some sweet paints
  4. TW, without inserts
  5. Great hook!
  6. Been using 50# Fireline for the past 3 seasons and not one complaint.
  7. It will definately help to know what type of fishing you want to do with the next rod. Most people like high speed reels like that for flipping. I use my Stx which is a 7.1:1 gear ratio for flipping and throwing frogs. I have it paired with a 766 dobyns champion flipping stick and absolutely love it. If you have 2 MH rods already I would think about getting a M or H something different.
  8. I thinks it's like 18 and the trout stamp is maybe another few bucks. Figure 23ish I never end up just getting the license when i'm at the tackle store hence the uncertainty. (BAITMONKEY) ;D
  9. I've never really put anything lighter than 25lb test on a bait caster. I bought a spool of 10lb Spiderwire very cheap and was wondering if I would have a problem with it digging into the spool. I've heard a lot of people having this problem but, I figured it was due to cheap braid or improper spooling etc. Anyone know of any potential problems? Thanks
  10. I'm very interested to see what they end up coming up with. It just seems theres so many possibilities and no one answers seems better than another.
  11. Very nice indeed!
  12. I also use Tru Tungstens (tungsten weights) so if that is true i'll have to start giving others a try. Bass pro tungsten from what I've heard is inconsistent. I have people saying they've never had a problem with it and others saying it's frayed there line.
  13. RC 1.5 is an awesome top water bait. I have to agree with most of the above the LC's seem to have better quality control. I haven't yet had to worry about a lure not running true or a hook being dull or the paint absolutely just falling off on day one. That being said I have many other brand cranks and cant say the LC's out perform the others on any given day. They all will catch there share of fish some may last longer than others.
  14. if it is a genetic phenomenon would that mean its always present on those fish or could there be something maybe that triggers it like the spawn or temp changes?
  15. Congrats! I just ordered a few myself.
  16. I have a Revo stx spooled with 50lb fireline braid. I used it all last year with no problems. I mainly use it for flippin into heavy slop, and for frogs. The Fireline does seem to be round and not flat and in my experience for the year I used it it didn't flatten with use.
  17. Awesome looking jigs. I'd hate to loose them but would definitely love getting them WET!!!!!!!
  18. just was reading on another site that they think it could be because of everyone practicing catch and release. The fish are getting a bacteria from us holding them before release. The only thing I can say to that is I doubt the fish at bass pro get handle to often and if they do I'm sure a lot of precautions are taken with how they are handled.
  19. Highly doubt that these were birth marks when I say the bass (all in the tank) looked like dalmatians they were about 40% covered with spots. Maybe a disease but only the large mouths bass had it.
  20. Love the Bluegill and the last one. All around great work.
  21. So I have seen this on a few bass were I fish and also on a couple of T.V. shows. Yesterday I was at B.P.S and the bass they had in the tank looked like Dalmatians. I mean just covered with black patches. Now I've heard a couple of different reasons for this (Hormones, Temp change, Spawn time, etc). I'm Just wondering if anyone has heard anything else or knows exactly why this happens?
  22. 29 but feelin a heck of a lot older.
  23. I would have to say weather is probably the toughest thing to predict. That being said with all the technology they have today you would think they would be a little more accurate. I plow during the winters and this year I've been going by what I see when I look out the window rather than what the weathermen say. I like to think of it as going "Old School".
  24. Agreed. I always have at least one rod with it tied on. And its usually my heavy cover/frog rod.
  25. I recently e-mailed the rod company and they said they would send me the guides free of charge. The problem I now face is were to have them fixed i don't really know anyone near me that is good with fixing rods. They said they would locate a person nearby if possible. I guess we will wait and see what happens. Was hoping the rod company would work with me a little more than they are. The rod is only a season old and wasn't cheap by any means.
