  3. This year I was able to get out early mornings so I threw a lot of topwaters. My favorite was Stanley ribbits. Great action come across weeds nicely and produce violent topwater strikes.
  4. That ride looks amazing. Nothing better than the rush from a nice 300ft+ drop. I love it. :o :o

  7. "But how can I put a price tag on something that can enhance my fishing skills" This is what I tell my wife.
  8. So tonights the big night. Favre, Moss and Peterson. I'm curious what you guys think there gonna do? Moss 3 TD's Favre 3 picks forcing it to Moss or is Moss gonna open the field for Peterson to have a big night. What's your feelings?
  9. Still trying to get picks up. There on my father-in laws camera but he's coming over tonight so might have them up tonight or tomorrow hopefully.
  10. So besides the Dobynns not being made in the U.S. are the rods still of the same quality?

    :) Got you!!!
  12. I throw plastics on baitcasters all the time and never have this problem. What are you throwing? Also maybe tightening up your spool tension knob would help.
  13. Nice fish! That first smallie is awesome. :)
  14. I definitely like using a darker color (black, brown, blue etc) also something with a nice rattle.
  15. I'ts the Bantum curado. I have considered the Avid and have heard alot of good stuff about them. The only reason i didn't list it is because when i was at BPS last they had the Avid so i got to hold it the other two i haven't held, But I still probably should have listed it.
  16. Looking at the Kistler magnesium 7ft med heavy or the Dobynns savvy 7ft med heavy. I'm gonna use it for kind of an everything rod i have a 6.4:1 Shimano curado to pair it with. I'm just looking for some thoughts from you guys to help me make up my mind. Price class is 159. I currently own a Dobynns champion flippin stix and a St croix premier.
  17. Some neat pics. That walled city is incredible!

  21. Went out for the first time salwater. Chartered a boat had a great time caught 2 strippers and a blue. Caught the 2 strippers at the same time. I'll try an get pictures up soon. The double strippers were a 35lber and a 20lber. What a fight.
  22. Good score. Not many people would have asked if the price was right after hearing it. Good Karma
  23. i would have to think they definately feel and taste more natural than plastics. i guess i'll have to get some and see for myself
  24. I think either ratio would be fine. I do most of my crankin at 0-6 and use a 6:3.1 but have used a 7:1.1 and a 5:4.1. at these depths i dont think gear ratio is that important. would you be using the reel for any other application or just crankin?
  25. I was looking at getting some to. I read an article that pork has better action in colder waters than plastic. Figure I'd give it a try.
