  1. Nice baits! love the sunfish.
  2. Definately something i've never seen. Must have been hungry our just stupid. :-?
  3. I agree in the northeast the bass will move shallow. After the weeds start to die the baby bluegill, perch, crappie etc go to the shallows as a safe haven in deep water with no/dieing weeds there easy pray.
  4. Definately some scary stuff but glad to hear you got it resolved.
  5. That's cool. I was looking at getting the kistler micro guide but haven't pulled the trigger yet
  6. I've always backed with mono but hear the arbor/electric tape works just fine. Personally I don't think it matters. Some people like to use the mono to save some dough.

Thanks guys. I have winters off so to fight off cabin fever I'm gonna take up pouring (hopefully).
  8. Got it thanks!
  9. Bobp i wanted to check out that link but it doesn't seem to be working. maybe a spelling error?

I think I may look into pouring some plastics this winter. Just looking for some info to get started and places to buy supplies from? Thanks for any help!
  11. Dang marketing conspiracies! So red does fade first but stays visible on baits, lures,an line. Now if green stays visible the longest does it also reflect light in which case I would think it would still be the most visible. Yes,no?
  12. Àlso if the color red disappears and your fishing a red hook and red line wouldn't that disappear. Just not making much sense to me! Maybe I'm looking to much into it. Maybe I have a fishing OCD. Haha
  13. I'm mostly talking about colored lines not so much clear. If you look at all the charts red is first underwater to disappear. Green may blend but its the last on the charts to disappear. So if you go by the studies red would be less visible at a distance to the fish. I don't know just something I've been thinking about.
  14. True. Dang conspiracies! ;D
  15. From what i understand red is the first color to disappear under water. If this is true why don't i see more people throwing red line, also more companies producing it? All i see is moss green, camo, even hi-vis yellow seems more available in most catalogs. I'm not saying its not out there i just don't see much of it.
  16. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a myth I believe it does effect there feeding pattern but, to what extent I dont know. sometimes I think there are other factors that might overpower barometric pressure for example post spawn when there really starving i think there gonna be feeding no matter what. It may affect them slightly but when there hungry enough there gonna eat. Its just another variable in the 10000000000000 variables of fishing and thats what gets us coming back for more. :-/ :-? > :( : :)

    GOJO (orange hand cleaner).
  20. Ya they worked very well. I still use them when i go fishing with my buddy and his kid.
  21. When i was a kid my parents use to put hot dog on and me and my bro would kill them. :
  22. I love the hack attack jig. That is one bad jig!
  23. I've never fished water with 15ft visibility probably around 10 is the most i've seen. I will usually downsize whatever it is im using. Seems to work.
  24. I have a little pond i like to fish. it helps me figure out possible patterns for other bigger places i may go to. when i go to a bigger body of water i like to section it off like a bunch of small ponds and fish it that way. its a way to fish big water without overwhelming yourself.
