Dobyns rods breakin??
I have a few of the dobyns 2nd generation rods and only one broke but it was because I accidentally broke it when I closed my car door. Other than that their rods are very good. I would never hesitate to buy another rod. Plus it's only $60 for a replacement for one of the best customer service that rivals that of shimano. Remember that GLoomis raised their price to $100 for a replacement now.

curado 50e updates?
I've used mine extensively for about a month now. I basically threw everything on mine from jigs and soft plastics to crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and swimbaits and everything in between. It's a great reel, don't let the smaller line capacity fool you. I fished this reel with a variety of line from 8lb yo-zuri hybrid to 65lb power pro braid for flipping and pitching. It's really good, casts a little better than the 200E7 which was my favorite curado. You can cast lighter lures, lowest I went was a 1/8oz rapala countdown lure. Only downside to the reel is the diridium drag. I HATE IT! The E7 has the better drag hands down while the 50E's drag doesn't feel smooth at all. You can pull out line but not as smooth as on the E7 reel. Anyways if you get it for around $150 then it's a great deal on an awesome reel. Plus the palming is excellent especially when paired with a cumara rod. Well hope this helps you

Boyd Duckett Micro Magic Rods
oh okay that 7'3" medium heavy is one of the rods I'm looking at. I'm wondering how would it compare to my dobyns champion 733 rod. I'm also trying to get the 7'6" flipping/pitching rod as well.

Boyd Duckett Micro Magic Rods
hey guys I have a chance to get a great deal on these rods and I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on them. I would like feedback from ONLY those who have the rod or used them for some time okay. I would like to know what's your opinion on its sensitivity, balance, and how you either like or dislike the rod.

Glass Rods
Can you feel the crank bumping cover?

Glass Rods
I have a dobyns 704cb champion crankbait glass rod. This is the lightest glass rod that I've ever held in my hand. It's very forgiving. Feels like a noodle to me, but I don't lose fish when I get them hooked even if I only got one crankbait hook on it. Casting wise, it's very good. I would recommend this rod for medium divers as it's tip is very very forgiving and loads up so nicely, yet you can still drag the fish without worry of it throwing the hook. Hope that helps.

Bass 1ft off the shore?
wacky rig a 4" green pumpkin w/ black flake senko. Try to stay about 4 or 5 feet away from the bass so he doesn't get spooked. Cast the senko about 5 or 6 feet ahead of the bass(try to create as little noise as possible). Let the senko sink and then keep twitching it, dont' stop until the worm gets back to you. I've tried this at a few pressured lakes when I can see the bass and he can see me, and man does this technique produce.

Higher ratio baitcasting reels?
a flipping and pitching reel so that you can cover areas more quickly. I use it in frog fishing in heavy cover to get the bass out of cover or away from cover quickly. I sometimes use it for spinnerbaits especially in clear water where I want the spinnerbait to go faster so the bass don't get a real good look at it.

Need advice from someone that owns a chronarch and a curado?
which chronarch reel are you talking about? If you're talking about the chronarch D reels then it's performance is equal to that of the curado E. However, due to the better bearings in the chronarch as compared to the curado E reels the chronarch feels better when retrieving.

Is spinning gear best for jerkbaits?
I only throw jerkbaits on baitcasting gear. If I'm throwing the light ones I go with a daiwa alphas or my chronarch 50mg reel spooled with 6 or 8lb flourocarbon

Want to upgrade handle on reel
hey I'm interested in buying the johnny morris handle. I want the eva knobs as well alright. If I order from bass pro shops for the handle, what will I get? My cousin ordered the carbonlite handle and he was disappointed because it didn't come with the handle nut and nut cap. Also what drag star can I buy to make the handle fit?

Which Crankbait above the weeds?
also check out the owner cultiva bugeye crankbait. It dives about half a foot under the water. It's actually my go to shallow crankbait now. Don't know why.

Want to upgrade handle on reel
I just got off the online chat with a BPS representative and he said that he will get back to me in "2 DAYS" to see if the handle will fit. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait it out.

Want to upgrade handle on reel
it's not hard to get a carbonlite handle. My cousin just got one a few days ago from bass pro shops to put on his daiwa fuego, but it didn't fit so well so he put it on his exceler. haha waste of his money. He said the handle was $10 and shipping was another $10. Anyways I'm going to buy the johnny morris swept handle(the one with the eva foam grips). Does anyone know the parts that I need for it like a new drag star, handle nut, nut retainer, etc?

Want to upgrade handle on reel
okay so I have to go another way. Well would the advantage HSTA handle work on my sol? I know it has bearings in the knobs.

Want to upgrade handle on reel
hey guys I have a daiwa sol that I want to upgrade the handle into something else. I was looking at either the bass pro shops carbonlite handle or the 2010 revo premier handle. My question is how much do these handles cost and do they come with bearings?

Zillion, Revo, Curado, Patriarch XT, Others?
I suggest the curado. But it depends on which one also. I would go with the e7 for soft plastics. I spooled it with 10lb p-line halo flourocarbon and man can this thing cast. But what you should thing most about is not just the reel but the rod as well. You need a softer rod with a faster tip to catch lighter lures. Just my opinion.

shimano citica or curado 100 d reel?
no guys I'm not looking for a 200 size d shimano reel. I'm looking at getting either the citica 100dsv or a curado 100D reel. My question is only pertaining to these two reels and that's it. I have the citica and curado e reels but I'm just interested in the d reels, that's all.
