RW, I have more fear playing the 500 teams than the good ones. The good ones bring it, and the so so teams, you never know who will show up. Seattle is veteran team, that struggled early in the season. Shawn has had nagging injuries. Since Shawn shared time at RB, they now have two headed running back. Hasselback is veteran, coach is veteran, and Seattle looks like they are starting to play ball consistently. Always a few better teams and then parity, where teams hug 500 mark.

Ike, Ishand, and Creww, and a few others said they will still be fishing with the kids. All the bashing Ike gets and he still stands up for the kids. Appears BASS anglers will voice their opinions also. Article on another site if you want check it out.

How is it that the Ravens gave the Pats trouble and Indy torched them? Gonna be interesting playoffs this year, and then again, maybe not. College and pro has been wierd this year.

Sorry man, we have been duped!!!! I figured since you started it, you saw all the original posts. I never saw it in Tourney section, only General. It got moved and changed. Changed after it moved to the General section. Sorry to anyone else that may be confused or feels duped. I still say BASS should make good on this years classic as I have continued to state, then make changes. Funny, were the presidents sworn to secrecey or something. I talked to a bunch of my buddies FROM A LOT OTHER STATES who were going to attend and participate in this years Jr. program and none of them knew of this till yesterday. Did your RI president attend the meeting? yes or no?

I do think BASS could have held this last one and made the move the following year. Pretty crappy on both parties. With that said, BASS didn't start this program, their paid employees have enough going on with out having to take on the responsiblities of such that started in the Federation Nation. Its their grassroots program and only makes since for them to step up and run it. This program was created by the Federation Nation, and not BASS. It needs to be with the people who are responsibe. What money does BASS make off this. All you guys who preach about its a money thing step on up and prove what you are talking about. BASS didn't start this program. They make nothing!!!!! Pretty crappy of BASS for not allowing the kids who thought they would have opportunity to do so. Pretty bad for the FED. to allow this to happen to the kids. Its their program, its was their volunteers, where are they now while BASS gets another Black eye? Classic weekend has more than enough going on without having the paid employees run a program they didn't create.

Any time in warmer days some one wears an overly large coat into the hospital, our PBX operators will call one of us to come politely ask a vistor if they mind opening their dusters/trench coats up briefly. We explain why. Preventive measures to prevent future law suits. We are not large hospital and full time security in the daytime is not feesible. I hear ya Matt. BTW I wanted to ask what the h3ll happened to UT against Texas A&M. Thats about the only game I try and watch every year other than when BC and Notre Dame play. But I have never seen UT come out and play so flat and what looked like to be so uninspired. What happened? One thing I understand about sports is, you can't win them all. I am blessed to have great college and good pro team. The last 11 years with Dallas gave me something I never lived with, losing and being a very inconsistent team. I have never been associated with a team such as the Saints. It is easy for me and others who have always had some bragging rights because of good home team to say to much at times..... Texas aTm is needed to kick the crap out of my team once in awhile. Thats what always made games like OU/Neb every Turkey Day when i grew up. Its rivalries that make football what it is. It certainly wouldn't be much of a rivalry winning them all. I sure don't like Dallas losing, but consider the accomplishments they already have, i can be patient, I've had great years with all my teams.

Good reminder to mention to people travelling long distances to keep some blankets and such in case you are stranded for awhile with out heat and such. Nice service annoucement lPa!!!

I say any team that puts pressure on Brady stands a chance. That has been seen a few times this year. Pitt has the defense, but, I'll say this. Pitt laid an egg on the Jets, so I'm not gonna put all my eggs in one basket either. I just happen to flip to the game and was surprised to see the Ravens ahead the other night, so I watched. Great game, didn't expect it to be at all.\ I will say that winter is in the air, and weather now can be a factor at some of the games. Wasn't like that in Sept with pretty descent weather. Already seen some good weathered games.

When bass are susupended under docks, I also like to add a barrell swivel with at least a #3 colorado blade to my jig hook secured with a piece of surgical tubing. This slows the fall rate of the jig way down. Also the added blade aids in stained water by pushing more water so bass can locate using lateral line. I like this set up on deep boat docks. The bait pendulums back to the boat due to water depth. this bait has nice flutte to it. Works well.

I would love to see the Warriors win and the AP vote them champs. And if the BCS title stinks, givem the BCS too! Why not let the underdog win one, if they can. Georgia isn't no Daisy!

I would say LSU got lucky that 2 teams lost, one being a huge upset to get them into the National Title game...did they go out and beat those teams to get in, no the other teams missed their opportunity which opened the door for LSU. On that aspect Pond Hopper, Your are very correct. LSU did benefit from someone elses luck. LSU is lucky as hell!!!! Scott needs to hear that!!!

I grew up bank fishing with cane poles. I have used every zebco made. I have use two piece rods with 3 eyes and zebco and caught some dang good fish too! I'm sorry to be long winded and passioniate about bass and fishing, not exactly in any order either. I know where you come from. I can be great co boater and take two rods, small assortment of tackle in small box. Done that been there. This must have been a very good thread by the way. :Look how many replies it generated. I don't think there is a clear cut team that deserves a shot. I think every team thats been in the top or near the top thinks they have a shot or deserves a shot. I would love to see Hawaii torch somebody!!!!!13-0 and AP national Champs!!!!

No body should get mad at BCS for KU being in Orange Bowl. Orange Bowl committe selected them, not the BCS.

I have a pair of commercial dykes. They make fast work on any hooks I have came across. I'm one who tries to totally remove the hook with minimum damage to the fish. I have caugh one bass over 7 pounds from Fork that had 4 existing hooks in her mouth, two with some line hanging out of her mouth about 18 inches on the longest. Those hooks showed some rusting, but looked like they needed alot more time. Hooks are made with alot better alloys than in the old days. One thing about her, she broke them all off, cause they were in easy places to remove. Go figure. All removed and she swam away. This was in 96, slot was only 21 inches so she stayed in livewell for awhile. I let her recooperate before completing all removals.

I'm casual and very competitive, but to elaborate on the need for an extra rod as a casual fishermen. First off, catching crappie on a bass rod offers no challenge. So I have some 4 foot ultra lites with 4# test. Works great for whites, rainbow, and other pan fish. Ultra lite makes for a nice fight. Seems to me on Fork earlier this season, i saw guys puting up their 300 dollar rods and busting out the snoopy rods for our night crappie fishing off the docks during the Bass Resource get together on Fork. LOL Lots of reasons to have different tools to go fishing. I don't use my bass reels in Salt, but do have some Penns. Does an artists that paints for a hobby only limit his passion to one brush, one color? Does a mechanic have only one size of sockets? 3/8 or 1/4 or 1/2. Some of those brushes are very expensive, it depends on a few things. What type wood the handle is made from and what type of hair used in making the brush. What about a photographer, do you expect him to use one lense, one filter? I think you can see that it depends on how deep your passion runs. Also, that guy may have taken over 10 years to put all that tackle together. I still have reels that are from the 70's that are used. I have old abu garcia for worming, and a shimano limited edition 1000, engraved. Some of that tackle was my moms who passed, so it means alot, and probably could be replaced, but that isn't gonna happen.

I think Mexico should have drug testing policy on fishermen and the bass. Raul didn't look that big last year, neither did his bass either. LOL.

I just wished Catt, that after the two teams have been selected for the championship, that people realize that it is up to the Bowl selection committee to pick who they want in a bowl, such as Kansas in the Orange Bowl. BCS didn put Kansas there, the Orange Bowl committee did that. Mizzou getting left out was not BCS fault, it was selection committees from other Bowls.
