Fishing through wrist pain
At age 60 I was told I needed a knee operation - My shoulder was hurting so bad I had injections for the pain. I wore a wrist brace. I fished and/or guided 200-250 days a year and was about to give up. I was lucky to read about Egoscue exercises in a Ned Kehde article - bought a used copy of Pete Egoscue's book Pain Free for $3 and now (15 yrs. later) I fish relatively pain free in wrist, elbow, shoulder and knees. But I do have to do the exercises.

Shoulder pains
I need lots of help for my old frame - the best arm exercises I've found are Egoscue arm exercises where you rotate your arms (extended straight out left and right side - do 50 with hand open and facing up and 50 with hand facing down - tough at first but will help your shoulders - fly fishing catalogs sell "donuts" which you squeeze to improve hand and wrist strength also, as noted above learn to cast two-handed -

Because I must.

Braided line and using a sharpie... I don't get it
I've done this on braid since the get go - didn't know it was so pervasive - I don't color it solid, kind of hit and miss which breaks it up like camo - is it effective? I don't know but I do it therefore it might be -

Need suggestions, 7'6" Spinning Rod for Frogs
I have a couple bps rods that are rated mh which paired with braid work well enough - they were both around your price point. There are some real good sticks that fish spinning outfits with frogs.

Ever accidently leave a rod and reel somewhere? UPDATE!
I've done that many more times than I'm comfortable admitting to -

Size vs Amount
Larry Dahlberg made a remark on one of his shows that mirrors my present feelings and the approach my old mentor took years ago. First you want to catch a fish, then you want numbers, then you want to catch a big fish, then you want to catch a lot of big fish - but years into it some of us just want to catch fish our way, usually with some crazy lure/technique we've put together.

Does water become clearer deeper?
Murky water is heavier - the top 10 - 20' of our reservoir can be clear but if they are drawing from the bottom gates the outflow can be dingy to muddy - this lake is about 125' deep.

Lake advice
great place for an unweighted white senko type - over and off the pads - into pockets - of course all the other mentioned above

Favorite Finesse Worm
Zoom trick worm is, for me, the best straight tail worm made - but for a finesse worm you can catch a bunch of fish on you can't beat the zman finesse worm - it is amazing.

Gonna get my ned on. What size hook
4 - 6 - you can mash down the barbs and still land fish - big fish
- Is 17 lb Fluorocarbon too heavy to use for cranking?

Big bass smashes Frog.
Watch the weather in Florida - if they have an extended dry spell - go - mortgage the house, borrow of your kids college fund but go - the canals in south Florida in a dry year are unbelievable - many times clients had over 200 fish in a half day charter.
- FRUSTRATED!!
-
Favorite frog brand
When I left Florida I had over 150 frogs in my boat - they all work - but for big bass on a windy day it is always the Furbit for me - always. I have to work them over after fish or two and they are expensive but they are a big bass bait - weeds or open water.

Who do you watch to learn?
When you're on the water look at everything and listen - particularly in bodies of water with vegetation you'll be surprised how much your ears can tell you about what's going on.

Cabelas Sale Imminent
You are right - according to what I read a hedge fund manager said the company was "ran like a family business" and didn't pay enough attention to the bottom line.
