Great baits small size is good for fishing on the surface where ever it is really weedy. The bigger size is really good for flipping with a big weight. Had great success with both.

Yeah these baits are completely different but they are both really good.

How do these rods perform what down falls do they have and what is good about them?

Just stay basic go with a 7 foot rod and a medium speed reel(6:2:1). This should be good. For companies go with what you like the best there are lots of great rods and reels out there for that price range. I would recomend Rogue Rods they make a very light and sensitive rod.
