whats your favorite spinnerbait brand?
this might seem funny but y fave is the $1 spinner baits from walmart, they are cheap and work well, caguth lots of fish with the white and yellow with red eye, with 1 colorado and 1 leaf blade, i put a #6 red treble hook as a "trailer" they catch fish and are cheap enough that i dont mind trwoing them in weedier areas with out to much worry about lossing it, yet, i bought 10 of them 6 months ago and have only lost 1

Red hooks
i dont know if its me or what, but in my home lake, lures with some red in it seem to be the trick, the 2 biggest producers in my lake are watermelon red worms, been having luck lately with some zoom red with black core worms, i also have a crank bait that has a red belly and that gets hit a lot ( just put red treble hooks on it got a fish on the first cast), also have a spinner bait that is white yellow and red and that is the biggest producer out of my spinnerbaits. however the pond behind my house the fish seem to like purple and blue , caught some of watermelon candy, and junebug worms, lately have had success with a blue silver tube bait rigger as a floater. so maybe it does make a difference, i doubt it, but i know that when i hit the lake i gotta have red, for the pond blue based colors are key

The Jitterbug - an epiphany
what i like about the jitterbug is that it can be used in a few ways. in warm shallow and calm water i use it like a delicate popper, a few soft pops and then a lil twich of the linelet it sit and repeat. in deeper water i preffer the annoy method, just kepp throwing it in the same area , let it sit until the water is still again, the start a steady retrieve, do this a couple of times to get he fish angry at this thing that keep jumoung in and swiming away, then ill throw it and start retreaving slow, then stop it and twitch it then let it sit for a few second, and start a slow retrive they will normally hit it as soon as it starts moving

Abu Max reels
i have a silver max reel, got it from walmart on sale for $40, i think they are normally $60, i fished with it a couple of times, and then a found a great deal on a revo s and got it. the reel is good, the magnetic braking system isnt that great but the reel over all is a good one, currently im using mine in the cranking rod.

Starting a Petition to Time Warner: We Want WFN:World Fishing Network!!
i have to agree with you on the Mariko Izumi Show, its the only thing that makes me change the channel, i dont mind the repetition since i surf the net an watch tv at the same , i dont really pay attention to the tv at times and so when i catch the show again i can pay attention to the parts i didnt i like watching all the shows even the fly fishing tuesdays but Lunkerville, Gettin schooled , Bass edge and Scott Marting Challenge are my faves.

bumps on bass
ive seen that on saltwater fish thhey are called like sea lice im sure thats what it is specially since you say they move, they are lil parasites on the fish, if you catch another one try to take them of they should peel off, take as many as you can off and put them in a zip lock with a lil water and take them to your local game and fish that way they can test it and fidn out what it is and how to deal with it

calais in saltwater?
Personally I wouldn't use it at the beach all that sand and salt water! Hell no, I would just buy a cheap set up from walmart or some other store and take that to the beach

can someone direct me to a how to on oiling a reel after use?
nope not a specific saltwater usage i can send you a pdf of the manual if youd like to see one. i still like to rinse the rod and reel since lot of the worms i use have salt in them, i cant afford to buy another reel if this one messes up so i gently rinse it and wipe it once i get home from fishing, specially since i bank fish a lot and find my self setting the rod down on the ground while i fish my spinning setup

Fished a canal this morning
well that technique prob about 10 mins i tried a few different things and that is what produced i was out there for an hour before i caught the fish, the second time i was out for about 30-40 mins it took about 15-20 mins between fish and yes i t-rigged the shaky head but wieghless i was letting the weight of the hook make the worm stand up, but my spond has pretty still water if there was any current in it i woul prob use a tiny weight something like 1/16oz

Hit the pond behind my house today
so after the last to times ive gone out on the lake with my buddie have yielded no fish, i was eager to catch some, and decided to hit up the pond behing my house. i was out for about 1 1/2 hrs total, i was dead sticking a watermelon candy berkley powerbait 5" power shaky worm weighless, using a 3/0 worm hook, with my 6'6" MHF all star select / revo s combo, with berkley vanish #12 they are not huge but they are the biggest ive pulled out of the pond

Fished a canal this morning
I hit the pond behind my house the only way i was getting hits was with deadsticking a 5" shaky head worm unweighted, just throw the bait, let it sink wait a min, then slowly pick up slack the just sit there and twich the worm and let it sit for another 30 secs to a min or so then pick up slowly let it sit and twich , both decent fish i got hit it when i was picking up the rod. but cause you do it slowly you gotta watch your line for the hits cause they dont really hit it they just kinda put it in their mouhts and sit there
