  1. Get any of the BDS series baits, I prefer the BDS 3 and BDS 4. http://www.***.com/descpageHDCLUCKY-LCFATBD.html
  2. I have 3 real good saltwater patterns that are deadly on both LM and SM bass. The first is the clouser minnow, probably the best fly ever tied, not the little tiny ones but the huge surf casting ones that are meant for stripers and bluefish. Second is the Crazy Charlie, it is meant to be a bonefish fly but it imitates a small shad perfectly. And third is another surf pattern one of my buddies tied me, I'm not sure what it is called but it is about 4 inches long, it is made from bucktail, and it has an epoxied head. Also, don't overlook pike and musky flies for bass, the surf plug is a topwater musky fly that works wonders on big largemouth.
  3. dang Raul, Christmas just keeps on comin early for you doesn't it lol. Now you just need a few more pink...excuse me, matte red pixy's to go with em
  4. To make this a little easier, what type of water are you fishing? is it a natural lake, reservoir, pond, or a river? do you know what the different types of forage and cover are in the lake? If you could answer these questions as specifically as possible then I would be happy to help you.
  5. A 3/8oz. black/blue jig always catches fer me, but an LC Pointer 100 in chartreuse shad is a close second.
  6. Now thats a purty good day on the water right there
  7. Welcome!!! It's great to see another fellow Virginian on the boards. Don't be to hard on yourself, the Potomac isn't exactly a fish factory and neither is "one fish Anna". There are a lot of great guys here and if you listen to their advice you'll be haulin em in everywhere.
  8. Merry Christmas yall. HOO-AH!!!
  9. Amen bass-brat
  10. I recently found this video and the first time I watched it I was speechless, it is the most touching thing I have ever seen. It really makes you think about the suffering our soldiers go through to keep us free and I felt that I should share it.
  11. WOW them are some nice fish.
  12. Dang that's a purty good day for water temps below 40 .
  13. A jig. I always have a jig tied on no matter where I am or what time of year it is. I can flip it, pitch it, swim it, and just about anything else I want to. IMO it's the most versatile and effective bait out there, and not to mention you have real good chance of catchin a hawg bass on a jig.
  14. Went out to the Pamunkey today with Triton9 and his dad. Conditions were pretty good with a light wind and air temp of about 55 degrees. The water temp ranged from 43 to 45 degrees throughout the day. Triton9's dad started off the day with a nice 1lber. on a rat-l-trap yo-yoed on a riprap bank and a little later another chunky 1lber. on a suspending jerkbait on the same riprap bank. An hour or 2 later I scored a chunky 1.5lber. on a suspending jerkbait off a dock in about 5' of water. Then Triton9 hauled in 2 keepers also on a suspending jerkbait from a rockpile. All together we boated around 10 fish with Triton9's dad catching 7 me catching 1 and Triton9 catching 2. We were disappointed that no smallies decided to show up but it was still a good day.
  15. Soft plastics: ZOOM, GYCB, Reaction Innovations, Roboworm, YUM, Case Plastics, and the stuff me and Triton9 make. Jigs: Persuader, Terminator, Jewel Jigs, and my home made jigs Spinnerbaits: Persuader, Terminator, Booyah, my home made spinnerbaits. Hardbaits: Bandit, LC, Rapala, Smithwick, Norman, Bagley, Arbogast, Heddon, Buzzbaits: Lunker Lure, Terminator
  16. As of yesterday I LOVE the dropshot, I was fishing with Triton9 and hauled in a nice 4.5lber. on a ZOOM watermelon/gold finesse worm on a dropshot rig. However my favorite technique would be fishing a 5/16oz. finesse jig in deep water.
  17. If you read my post above you will see that I am only going by what the boat's speedometer says, I do not have a gps so I don't know what the actual speed is. So I have to go by what the speedometer says.
  18. hmm that's weird, oh well thanks for another great video LBH 8-)
  19. basspro48 posted a topic in Bass Clubs
Me and Triton9 started a youth bass club about a year ago and we are looking to get club tournament shirts. I know most of the major boat, motor, bait, etc manufacturers have tourney shirts available but I am looking for something relatively cheap, anybody have any ideas? Thank you.
  20. Awesome video as always, guess my pic got deleted too. Oh well, there's always the 8,000 member mark.
  21. You california guys are kinda goin overboard on the swimbaits aint ya??
  22. A heavy action is overkill for a crankbait, switch to the medium rod.
  23. I went with the Pro 17 mainly because it was an awesome deal and the boat had only been used 3 times since it was bought brand new. The narrow construction is actually a good thing to me because I mainly fish river systems that have strong tidal flows and the smaller the boat the less drag it creates in the current so the boat isn't constantly getting turned around by the current. And as for the speed, I'm just goin by wut the boats speedo says, which probably isn't right but oh well.
  24. I use the ZOOM baby brush hog as a trailer on my football jigs when I'm fishing deep structure. They add a lot of bulk to the bait and give it a little more action.
  25. Beautiful fish!!! Got to love those big brown bass 8-)
